Some officials of the presidency queried the adjustments, suggesting that the unsolicited increase of the CCB’s budget is an attempt to stop the bureau from involvement in the prosecution of a top member of the National Assembly over a corruption case

Seeking to enforce his fundamental rights, former National Security Adviser (NSA) Col. Sambo Dasuki yesterday got the approval of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Court in his suit against the Federal Government over his alleged unlawful arrest and detention without trial since December last year.

The World Bank Group yesterday lowered its 2016 sub-Saharan African growth forecast to 3.3 per cent from a previous forecast of 4.4 per cent in October, citing plunging global commodity prices.

  12. @ news 1- I hope the Government can implement this policy. Its really not funny when employers subject their workers to highly unfavourable working conditions and no form of compensation is put in place in case of any mishap. This majorly applies to the Indians and Lebanese that own businesses here. In my friend's Company he was directed to climb the high roof of one of the ministries in Abuja to install "outdoor unit" without any form of protective clothing whatsoever and so many other instances abound. There should be a WORKING law curbing the excesses of these employers.

  13. I have never seen any past politician who was not corrupt. If every other past politician is not prosecuted, then, I won't believe in this govt. fighting corruption. If Amechi, Tinubu, Obasanjo, etc. are saints, then Jonathan should also be a saint.
