1- Stop Dumping Babies In Waste Bin — Arase

Wife of the Inspector General of Police,  Mrs Agharase Arase, has appealed to young mothers to stop dumping their new born babies in dust bin and gutter, saying the act is painful and deeply disturbing. She decried the increase rate in the preposterous act.


2- Police Uncover Ritualists’ Den In Ogun

OgunState Police  Command has  uncovered a spiritualists’ den in Iyana-Ilogbo axis of Sango-Ota area of the state, and arrested two suspects.
Sunday Vanguard learnt that policemen  attached to  Sango Police State, and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad team  swooped on  a  building, acting on a tip off from a member of the community, and arrested the two suspects.
It was gathered  that inside the den were a decomposing body of a male victim, clothes, shoes, wigs, matchetes, and bags.


3-Controversial Religious Bill: Catholic Church Cautions El Rufai

THE Catholic Church, has sent a strong warning to Kaduna State governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai over the move to enact a religious bill to prohibit preaching of religious ser-mons in the state.
Addressing a press confer-ence in Abuja, the Director of Caritas International, a department under the Cath-olic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), Rev. Fr. Evaristus Bassey said the peoples’ will is sovereign and must be respected, noting that the bill had enormous potent-ial abuses, therefore, it should not become law, because it would be misused against one religion by ambitious state officials.


4- Agatu In Total Ruin — UN

Therepresentative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to Nigeria and Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Mrs. Angele Dikongue Atangana, says the attacks  in Agatu local government area of Benue State by suspected  militia  left the area in total  ruin.
Atangana, led on the tour of the area by Ezekiel Adaji, the Deputy Chairman, House of Representatives  Committee on Internally Displaced Persons, Refugees and North East Development Initiative, also described the damage as unimaginable.
The UN representative, who stated that the plight of Agatu people deserved national and international attention, stressed that it would be difficult for the affected people to rebuild their communities without external help.


5-Fuel Crisis: We’ll Vote Buhari Out In 2019 – Enugu Residents

On the grounds of failure of the Muhammadu Buhari administration to alleviate the problems of the country especially the biting fuel scarcity that has engendered other severe conditions, Residents of Enugu and indigenes of the state have said vowed to vote out APC in the next general elections.

Ahead of the 2019 elections therefore, most residents of Enugu State are girding their loins to ensure that President Muhammad Buhari,of the All Progressives Congress, APC, led Government does not return to power.


6-IPOB Plans Live TV broadcast, Massive Protest

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has said that it will resume protest in it bid to free Nnamdi Kanu, Director of Radio Biafra and that it is putting in place a Television technology that it will use to broadcast live all its activities in Nigeria.
IPOB also said its leader and Director of Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu will no longer accept any food, including those brought by his close family members to avoid poisoning it by the Department of State Security, DSS, alleged to always scrutinize his food before allowing it in.
IPOB in a statement jointly signed by its spokesmen Emma Mmezu and Dr Clifford Iroanya, said ‘many people are willing to die for Nnamdi Kanu so Buhari led All Progressives Congress Federal Government should tread carefully with the life of Mr. Kanu because hell will be let loose if anything happens to him, Nigeria will never be the same should anything untoward happens to Kanu”.


7-National Security: Governor Fayose Is Only A Threat To Dictatorship

Following a statement issued recently by one Taiwo Olatunbosun, the Ekiti State Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), labeling the governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, a threat to national security because of the governor’s statements, Jude Ndukwe a PDP member from Abuja has published and article online in support of Fayose stating that Fayose is only a threat
to the leadership style of the Buhari-led federal government.


8- No To Foreign Coach, Dalung Insists

Sports Minister Solomon Dalung has disagreed with the Nigeria Football Federation’s quest to get a foreign coach for the Super Eagles, after they were eliminated from the  2017 Africa Cup of Nations. Dalung while was speaking in Abuja refused to toe the line of the NFF, and with his  speech, he seem to have backed coach Siasia for the job of leading the Eagles.


9-Pato Scores On Debut As Chelsea Hit 4 At Villa

Alexandre Pato scored a penalty kick on his debut yesterday and Pedro bagged a brace as Chelsea thrashed Aston Villa 4-0 at Villa Park.

  2. What is the federal government doing about this Agatu thing? Its getting our of hand o. The whole country is in a big mess. Nothing seems to be working. Dumpimg babies in refuse bin is so heartbreaking innocent little angels, oh my God. Rihanna inspire young women? Maybe in America.
