A mother of five children was found dead in a hotel room in Apapa area of Lagos State, on Friday afternoon.
The woman identified as Mama Joy who runs a restaurant close to police dog section in Apapa was found dead in the hotel situated along Randle Road, Apapa.
The management of the hotel was said to have alerted the divisional police officer of Apapa police station, SP Rotimi Odutona, and he swiftly sent a team of policemen to the scene. LEADERSHIP gathered that the hotel staff had waited for the guest (s) in the room to check out after their time had expired but to no avail.
A source at the station disclosed that after several knocks without an answer they had to force the door of the room open. The staff were shocked to see one of their guests dead in the hotel room. SP Odutona was said to have invited the staff on duty to make statement.
The relations of the deceased and her children were also at Apapa police station, crying like babies. One of the police sergeants at the station said there was no visible injury on the corpse and her partner she allegedly came in with was nowhere to be found.
What a pity!!!!..so the man escaped?I smell foul play whether there was visible injury or not....

DeleteHer partner may be innocent,she probably passed on due to heart related issues but fear made the man run away. It is even possible that the man left her there alive and she died after he left.
The man could also have poisoned her,that way you won't detect any physical body harm.Nigerian police, please carry out thorough investigation.

ReplyDeleteI was watching a nolly wood movie yesterday, a lady was framed for murder, so rather than call the police, she disposed the body.
ReplyDeleteIt's quite pitiful that's exactly how Nigeria is, if you get into some sorta trouble and you call the police, you get arrested so why would any sane person call the police when someone dies in his or her presence even if it's a natural cause or by accident?
In other developed countries, you call the required authorities but in Naija, dust your slippers and run!
So, it's possible the lady died from some medical condition and her partner took on his heels.
May God not even decide to punish someone. Its not everything thats always foul play (mind u am not saying this isnt). But just imagine the several times one has gone to a hotel with a partner and then u had to leave them and go...imagine they now died from an unknown ailment or heart attack or she fell and broker her neck etc, u will be tracked down and arrested and it will be hard to prove your innocence.
