Kogi State's Governor Bello to Purchase Transparent Car to Fight Corruption‏

Following the mind-boggling revelations coming out of the ongoing civil service audit and the uncompromising determination by the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello to rid the state of corruption, the Kogi State government has announced the creation of a fund to purchase the world's first transparent and anti-corruption car for His Excellency's convoy.

According to a press release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Kogi Governor, Kingsley Fanwo, the government is doing this to promote its mantra of transparency and to offer all Kogites the opportunity to contribute to kicking corruption out of the state.

"Governor Bello has always said that he would never touch a single kobo of State funds for personal use," the statement read. "To show how serious he is with this stance, he has decided to convert his car to a transparent and bulletproof one that will always show him to the people wherever he goes. This, we believe will make him more accessible and position Kogi State as the most supportive of President Muhammadu Buhari's anti-corruption fight.

"This automobile will cost about eight million dollars ($8, 000, 000), including shipping and delivery. We are hopeful that the car can be delivered in 4 months and to that end, we are soliciting for donations from the good people of Kogi State to make this happen. We hope to be the first African nation to own such a magnificent machine."
The statement further added that all contributions for the see-through car can be sent to the following bank accounts with account name

'#KogiTransparentCar'
1. First Bank - 3052278420
2. Guaranty Trust Bank - 0150230037

The ‘Transparent Car‘ was launched last October in Asia by ZF company at the Auto Show IAA Frankfurt, Germany, and is equipped with different security systems.

The Kogi Government will be the first African government seeking to use a transparent car to promote accountability in governance.

And have you noticed that today is still April Fools Day?!

  31. The kogi governor can truly do this. That is why it was so believable. He has spent almost 1 billion on cars for his convoy already. Spent another billion on his house renovation so really this 2 billion car is possible with the young man

Oga, cars purchased are not for just his convoy, he has aides, appointments have been made and those people are entitled to cars. Also, it was budgeted for. Remember the gov doesnt sign cheques.

      Anon 9.50
Lmao. Can you people just stop all these? If u watched the news, u would have seen him during the press release at the national hospital. Its not everything thats televised. Also, all these commiseration, there are people that its their duty to do that in the media. eg Even if the gov no send the person u will still read he said bla bla
