TOOTH CROWNING
Good day
I grew up with tooth pain, it has become part of my twenty three years on earth, it is so bad that I have had five extractions already. I don't even bother about the colour because that's of less priority. I can't chew meat, fish, bread, Apple, almost everything. The Dentists say it is as a result of poor formation of the teeth right from the womb before I was born and the only thing that can save me from loosing all my teeth before I clock 30 is to do what is called dental crowning. The problem now is that the cost of crowning all the teeth is too much for my dad.
I want to ask Dentists in the house, can problems like this be cured? Is there any other treatment that can remedy this problem? or is there anywhere I can get it done at a more affordable price. Please dear Bv's I need your help.

Crowning or they remove the problem teeth and put dentures. If it's a problem from birth, why waste money on crowning? I have same problem and my teeth was extracted and replaced with partials. Can BVs refer this poster to a dentist that can do it for free or at a discount?

My dear am not too sure psoriasis has a cure. My mom and sis has it. Evn Kim kardashian hs it as well. Depending on where on the location, makeup can cover it. Or better still lubricate your skin very well to keep it from drying out.

Deleteit is better u do crowning, u wil likely crown between 20-24 teeth, crowns for the back teeth are abit more expensive cos of the type of material dat wil be used to enable u chew properly without crown-fracture while a different material which is less expensive wil be placed on d front teeth.
Deleteremoving al ur teeth (or almost all, i.e between 20-24)and replacing with artificial is not advisable bcos ur alveolar bone (the bone dat supports d teeth) wil resorb over time.
whichever way, u wl need a proper dental examination.
visit Aire dental clinic @ 30, enitan street, Aguda, surulere or 1, taiwo street, coker village, surulere (their treatment is relatively cheap and satisfactory) fr examination and treatment but if d cost stil remains an issue den i suggest u visit a teaching hospital, i recommend LUTH dental clinic.
I stay very far from Lagos state, d government hospital I visited say they will crown one tooth for 5k,i don't know which material they intend to use. God please pick up my call

ReplyDeleteMy dear, crowning will not work.. Its a waste of money. I have had crowning but it keeps falling off. I just left the tooth like that. So don't waste your father's money on that.

ReplyDeleteHi poster.I'm a dentist.You probably have something called enamel hypoplasia.Please google Erin magazine,the owner is Omotanwa,she published an article on a lady that got free dental care through an NGO.Probably she could help you out,because removing the whole set of teeth and replacing them with artificial teeth aka dentures are not the best.Nothing like the natural teeth.You could also check Smile Africa,google it and contact them.All the best!
