Minor and Major Gifts

‘God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.’

Romans 12:6

To excel at anything, you must discover your major gifts and put them to work. One of Paul’s minor gifts was making tents to help support his ministry, but clearly his major gift was teaching and building churches. You say, ‘How can I discover my major gifts?’.

 1) Get God’s input. Who knows the product better than the manufacturer? You didn’t create yourself, so there’s no way you can tell yourself what you were created for. But God can, and He will. ‘If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought’ (James 1:5-6 MSG). 

2) Commit for the long haul. 

When you were first learning to walk you spent more time on your bottom than on your feet. But you succeeded. That’s because you were born to walk! You may discover your major gifts quickly and easily, but developing them to their maximum potential will be the work of a lifetime. It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon. 

3) Get feedback from the right people. Asking others for feedback isn’t always easy, but it’s essential to success. Never be too proud to seek help. And if you’re a ‘loner’ here’s a Scripture you need to ponder: ‘There was no deliverer, because it was far from Sidon, and they had no ties with anyone’ (Judges 18:28 NKJV).

 A word of caution, however: Choose people who have no agenda other than to help you.

VOLUNTEER WORK 

 Stella thank you for being the great support system that you are, thank you for being very accessible which is why I can even send this mail to you in the first place. I learn so much from your blog but I think the biggest lesson I have learnt is that you don't wait for purpose you create it. I learnt that from you, you are the most philanthropic and accessible blogger that I know. You have taught me that the true worth of a person's life is the impact they make in other peoples lives. 

Which is why I have decided to stop watching from the sidelines, I want to volunteer with any Non-Profit organization that promotes Literacy and Education of children and teenagers in the north central, Kogi State to be specific. 

           

   I am passionate about improving the reading habits and culture of the younger generation. I believe that reading is the strongest skill anyone should possess and if this is promoted using the right tools and techniques a lot of our third world problems can be solved, right now I lack the financial ability or experience to go about this on my own which is why I want to volunteer with an organization that shares the same proclivities . I just want to encourage poster 1 with my own story cos she's not alone.

Mid last year i met this handsome not so nice guy immediately after my severe prayers and fasting in a very strong church,i was really happy i thought God had answered my prayers he was in hes late 30's and i knew he didnt come to joke around and i was ready for marriage too.he wanted to meet my parents i tried to slow him down e no gree(i was like wow this one na jehova sharp sharp God be praised).

He met my parents and after that we gbenshed sha(cos he wanted me to take in but for wia e no enter thank God for that cos i wld have been doomed pls dont cuss me out guys!)...i noticed he slowed down a bit i got upset he wasnt eager as he initially was then fights started..

We went for a church prog. Together when a minister asked all single ladies to come out my dear i jumped up and went to roll on the ground with others i think he was so embarrased that the next week he said he was coming for intro this was 4months after we met same day he engaged me.i was happy but i just noticed i wasnt really happy deepdown,i didnt feel that peace,we started having issues,plus i noticed somethings about him he was stingy,very secretive(i had to start snooping(plus some frequent calls btw him and really young girls like 17-19yr old girls 1day i saw stacks of condoms in hes box wow they were like 50pcs.when i asked him he said he got them when he travelled)he hardly calls me(at some point i was doing most of the callings),and had an ex that lingers he even refused to delete her pictures off hes phone one betty girl he said he stopped loving her cos she burnt hes pot of rice cos of telemundo lol jerk asides from the fact that they werent compatible genotype wise,dear bvs i went through a lot even on one occassion he invited one busty festac olosho banker to he's birthday&gave her more attention when i was there i felt it wasnt right i was mad but hes excuse was she was hes guest(so i was the person who would get the 2nd class treatment?.he tried to live like someone that had it all going for him but later i discovered that he had nothing and on my own i just noticed that he really wasnt into me.he travelled for a few months to U.S but hardly communicated(trust me he doesnt have a family there) and on d 1st of jan i severed every means of communication.but he didnt bother to reach me via another line.He came back a few days back and ran to my father i unbarred the idiots line he called me for a day and didnt call again i was worried and called him back after 3days and he said"Sorry i wanted to call you but i went for a child's dedication thats why i didnt call" hmmm i just let hell loose on hes head i cursed hes generations unborn.i kept asking myself why did he go to meet my father,i had moved on already why did he have to come back.

I told him never to go close to any of my family members or come close to my dwelling place,i called he's elder bro and told him same that old fool kept on telling me "but sam loves you" rubbish.

I just need to let ladies know this pls

●always watch out for the signs'dnt ignore it cos u just want to marry'

●the fact that he came after your prayers doesnt make him an answer to ur prayers.'d devil manipulates prayers too.

●If he does'nt give you he's time then he does'nt deserve yours.

●See if you have your way never you date an igbo man that lives in festac-amuwo they are all the same.

●If a man truly loves you even if he earns 5k he would try to give you something just to put a smile on ur face.'say no to stingy men'
