Nnamdi Kanu Writes British Government To Rescue Him

The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mr.
Nnamdi Kanu, has urged the British Government to intervene in his case by
asking President Muhammadu Buhari to release him from prison.

Kanu approached the British government through his lawyer, Mr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor.

In the letter dated March 24 and addressed to the British high commissioner in Abuja, and obtained by Vanguard, Kanu said he was a victim of travesty of justice and gross human rights violation.

He called on the British government to prevail on President Muhammadu Buhari to release him. Kanu said his prolonged detention in prison was a clear violation of his fundamental right.

According to Kanu, he had been subjected to harsh persecution and although he was ready to face the charges brought upon him, he doubted the Nigerian government’s ability to give him a fair trial.

Stressing that he is a British citizen, Kanu told the UK government that he was wrongly arrested and put in detention.

*After that they should drop another letter at the American Embassy. To be accused of Treason with evidence is not something one can wriggle out of easily.Human rights activists might/will cry out for you but heads of govt will avoid you like a plague.
Next time you wanna fight ,channel the right path and avoid the path that leads to destruction of lives and properties!

    2. Thank u o. The British government will deny u like hell. They won't waste their tax payer's monies to meddle in a matter out of their jurisdiction. After all u are Nigerian.
If u like let ur passport be orange from the Queens ancestors...the cocky Britons I know will dissociate themselves from an African, whether born British or immigrant who gets into any mess like urs.

If they must address u, their headline will read.. "a Nigerian bla bla.. they won't call u British lai lai. So try again. Better believe that right now, they are quietly carrying out a background check on u and how u came about being British. And trust me when I say that they'll be looking for ways to revoke their passport from u. Not unless u were born there will u escape what they'll put u through.
A time when countries are putting their heads together to fight terrorism and what have u, that is when u chose to form Mandela, now u are crying wolf. Thought u were tough na, why not wait for ur trial? Nonsense

    1. Nnamdi,
I thought you knew the history of Biafra and what went down in those years...
I thought you knew how Harold Wilson and his cohorts were silent when we died.
I thought you knew how they continued to tell themselves and the work that the biafrans weren't really dying of starvation.
I thought you knew how much the British hated Igbos...
I thought you knew these and much more.
Now am almost convinced you know nothing.
If you knew, you wouldn't be asking them for help.
      My people,
May we always remember(my role model-Adichie)

Even Uwazurike has since realised that there is a better way to go about things. Kanu wanted to be popular, now he's got it.

    2. Instigation of violence against one's country is called treason and is punishable by death in any country of the world I believe. Kanu should have known better when shooting his mouth and encouraging violence against Nigeria. This is not a Buhari affair but a Nigerian constitutional affair.
Where are those that want to die for Kanu now. The last thing British government will do is to involve themselves in such foolish issue. Would British government want to do something that will affect diplomacy with Nigeria? Kanu should have thought better before coming to Nigeria. He could hv been mouthing off now fighting Nigeria from biafra. Britain is busy trying to solve the other boko issues and that of those that came by via swimming to think of small Kanu. Imagine small boy using old people's brains.

  24. Eeyaa. Kanu as a biafra citizen calling on another country for help is an outright slap on the face of your darling nation. Are you trying to say they can't help? No army to threaten war? No ambassadors to negotiate your release? Take heart ehn. It is well, even in the well. Don't bother with the brits. Heck they are solidly being Nigeria and any element that threatens the unity of this great nation.

    Eeyaa once again.
