Nigerian Beauty Queen Volunteers at Refugee Camp in France Inbox x

Princess Adaeze Nwaji is the reigning Face of the Globe Nigeria. She has been selected by the prestigious Face of the Globe organisation to represent Nigeria at the International grand final holding in England and Disneyland Paris.

The beauty queen who was recently endorsed by the Arm of Hope Foundation (www.armofhope.org.ng)  as an International Ambassador visited France to volunteer at the Calais refugee camp popularly known as ‘The Jungle’.

Speaking on her experience at the camp, she said: “The condition at ‘the Jungle’ is desperate. Women and children are separated with limited access to them. I only saw the men. There is however need for urgent help at the camp as the children need to be educated and women need to be empowered. These can not happen in such situation.

Refugees and Asylum seekers should not be left to the Europeans alone because, it is a global crisis and everyone should support. I pondered on what would happen if there was unrest today in the world and the only place to find refuge is in those countries where the refugees flew from. The International response to humanitarian crisis is limited.  We are the world and we can make the world peaceful.”

In another note, Princess Adaezen expressed her admiration for the volunteers. “I admire the volunteers especially the long term volunteers as without them the condition of the refugees would be worse. Everyday from 9am -5:30pm we sort donations here, make food and then visit the camp to supply to the refugees.”

She also stressed the need to support the needy, the oppressed and those whose rights are being violated in any way.

“It is a moral obligation to help those in need therefore, I must not be in my country to take a stand for humanity. As a citizen of the world, I volunteer at every opportunity in any community I find myself. I represent my country and we are in solidarity with the refugees. Besides, It is March For Humanity in AHF. Let us all join the Arm of Hope Foundation to march for humanity.”
The Elegant Beauty Queen, Princess Adaeze Nwaji is from Ebonyi state Nigeria and a student at University of Buckingham UK.  She is set to compete for the Prestigious Face of the Globe International crown against finalists from all corners of the globe.

“It is a moral obligation to help the needy, I have always volunteered at every opportunity in any community I find myself. I represent my country and we stand in solidarity with the refugees.”

Why don't you guys start something in Nigeria. Get inspired so that when she returns, she can add value to what y'all are doing. smh
