New Igbo Socio-Political Body Emerges

A NEW Igbo socio-political and cultural organization, the Igbo Improvement Union, has emerged and indications are that it might be operating in parallel line with Ohaneze Ndigbo, which has been facing leadership crisis for some time.




Promoters of the new organization, who met in Awka weekend, said its first major task is to reach out to all the governors and leaders of thought in all the Igbo-speaking states of Abia, Anambra, Delta, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo and Rivers states, adding that branches of the organization were already being launched in the various states.

Among prominent Igbo behind the new organization include Hon. Ugochukwu Agballah, Chief Edozie Njoku, Senator Anthony Agbo, Hon. Emeka Maduagwu, Hon. Eugene Odoh, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu. Hon. Chuma Nnaji, Dr. Amanze Obi, Chuka Obele-Chuka, Chief Nnachitta Udoka, Nze Onwulali, Barrister Vincent Okwale, Mr. Enyinnaya Orji, Mr. Ike Olu and Mr. Chinnaya Mba

    Rivers State is an Igbo speaking state???
    Is it Etche or the Ndoni or Opobo people?

      So the Aniocha and Ika people do not bear igbo names or speak a type of igbo dialect?

      Ikwere people do not also have an igbo dialect? Chibuike Amaechi and Julius Agwu are not from Rivers?

      These two states have spectra of igbos in them. Talk with sense pls.

      I will not shut up. By your logic Ondo State is an Ijaw speaking state and Kogi State is a Yoruba speaking state shey? You people know exactly how we group these things in Nigeria and Delta and Rivers are not Igbo speaking states.

      During Election now you will see them hovering around igbo people answering EBELE Jonathan. I simply pity those igbo people on this blog that are hating on Buhari because of GEJ. As for the Niger deltans, ina no go smell presidency again, the only hope of votes is from the south east geo political zones. Go to hell.
