    3. There is nothing like a perfect marriage. Marriage is a union of two different people, from two different backgrounds coming together under an umbrella love. Once in there, they both channel their individual efforts to make it blissful. Compromise, understanding, appreciation, tolerance, prayers, willingness to forgive and all necessary attributes are brought to the table by both for marital bliss. That's what marriage is all about.

    1. Marriages are not perfect, but with God on your side, we are more than conquerers. A praying woman is the best gift a man can receive. Women, always learn to pray for your husband and children. She who kneels before God will stand before any man. #Godisgreat . This is not only for the married ladies. Singles in the house, if you haven't started, start praying now for your future partners, tell God how you want him to be. God does not fail. His answers are ye and amen .

Dnt expect flowers every val n dnt expect cuddles at nyt
Sometimes he juz wants to be alone and I respect that.

If u humble urself while letting him feel in charge, u will enjoy him.
Wisdom, tolerance and prayer is key.
He might not really say "i lov u" evryday but he shows it in oda ways like remembering ur anniversary, choosing to eat at home every night, calling ur parents once in a while and many more.

      Delete
    6. James please it has nothing to do with rudeness although u might be right somehow. Men can be so annoying too, but thats where communication and tolerance comes in.

To be sincere women are tolerating you men a lot, Yes a lot but still it doesnt prevent we women from making sure that the home is safe and peaceful.

Most Marriage nowadays is just a whole load of crap because most men has refused to think straight and come down from their high horse coupled with their African mentality.

Marriage is meant for two People to work hand in hand and not just one person. It doesn't work that way james. So dnt say that. Two people has to make it work. Respect your wife, treat her like a queen she is. Always remember those things you saw in her before you proposed to her. No matter how bad a woman is, there must surely be something good about her. I am tired of hearing divorce cases these days cos its getting out of hand.

      On the womens side.
Why women end up with the wrong partner is mostly because they dont set their priority straight/low self esteem and society pressure.

Be independent, know what you want in life, i mean set your priority straight and never settle for less.

Most men feel its their right and they can do whatever they want nowadays because most women depend on them for everything, money for pad, money for this money for that. Be independent. Even if your husband is dangote and he doesnt want you to work, join online jobs, freelance, binary trading which you can do at the comfort of your home all you nees is a laptop and strong internet connection, and the rest if you are intelligent, you will make it and make sure he pays u monthly salary equivalent to the amount you are supposed to be paid had it been you were working but never the less, its always good to be your own boss.

But in all marriage has no formular cos the way i handle my home might be different from yours.

Another thing, career women should make out time for their family and kids, cos its your responsibility to take good care of your man and kids. Cook for your family, if you have a maid fine if you dont have fine. But always know that its ur responsibility. If your man is the type that can cook then you are lucky plus its another bonus for you. Do not leave every thing for ur maid sometimes suprise ur family with a nice meal. Make out time for intimacy, google different styles, ask ur partner, what he likes and enjoys.(same is applicable to men ask your wife which style she enjoys) Communication matters a lot cos with it, there wont be room for quarels and misunderstanding.

Never allow your in-laws/parents to interfere in your home. Women never give ur mother inlaw a chance from the onset, yes NEVER including your mother, you can consult them for issues that is bothering you if they are the peaceful type but if not, never give them a chance and make sure you handle it with wisdom.

Men be faithful to your partner, a woman will wake up in the morning, prepare her kids lesson food, bath them, cloth them, make sure that they are ready for schl, take them to schl, bring them back, feed them, teach them home work, clean the house, make sure every where is clean, watch clothes (excluding those that has house help) but what you will use to pay her back or say thank you to her is by sleeping around. How do you think that she will feel? i mean how do u men even sleep at night comfortably?
a woman who is making sure that the home is in order but the only contribution you think u can offer is to be sleeping around, contacting stds and transfering it to her, a woman u said you love with ur heart, body and soul. Its very bad. Very bad. Men and women should respect the institution called marriage and be faithful to ur partner, women the same is applicable to you all.

Men, you are suppose to be the head of the family, provide for ur family, most men of nowadays are very lazy, men should sit up to their responsibilities as a man. U dnt just sit at home while your wife will be hustling out side by hook or by crook to make money while all you do is to sit at home and be watching super sports. Sit up to ur responsibilities, being the head of the family no be by mouth, its all about fulfiling ur marital vows, making sure you re very serious with ur responsibilities in the home

Single ladies, never tolerate abuse of any form, are you in a relationship and that man is hitting you and u still think he will change after marriage, sweet heart you are wasting ur time. The percentage of him changing after marriage is not up to 10percent. I understand 80percent of ladies wants to be married but ur joy, health and happiness plus peace of mind should come first. Never allow a man to hit you. It doesnt worth it. But if you think you can endure, na ur palaver after all if he kills you, i no go come for ur burial, know ur worth and never allow a man to treat u like a trash you deserve that respect. You deserve to be loved and not to be punched at. Never tolerate that in ur relationship cos he might not change in marriage and the earlier the better than rushing into marriage and walking out with battered face.

Women learn to briddle ur tongue, learn to control ur anger, same is applicable to men. If u are hot tempered person like me. Learn to say this prayer(Jesus meek and humble of Heart, make my heart like unto urs) learn to control ur tongue, if its hard when u are angry, chew a gum and chew it load, yes loud it, lolz. it works for my frnds and me too, it will help you calm down,. You can voice out ur opinion as u like but do it in a matured manner.

      Delete
    8. Final continuation

Women respect and love ur husband, husband respect and love ur wife. Women protect ur family with prayers, men do same too. if you are a Christian/catholic, join pioneer societies in the church, like sacred heart of jesus, legion of mary, immaculate heart, charismatic society and the rest and pray for ur family. This world is more than spiritual to physical. Most things happening to marriages nowadays are more of spiritual than physical. Men and women sit up to ur responsibilities, dont let ur friends decieve you, pray for ur family all the time. Songs and worship are very nice and can be done in the very comfort of ur home without visiting any pastor or imam.

Men and women, know the type of people you discuss ur marital issues with, instead of telling the world what ur problem is on social media and other plat form, call ur partner in ur bed room, sit him down and talk it out with him or her . Know when to say sweet heart i am sorry,. Most men find it difficult to say i am sorry or please. I am sorry eases the soul of a partner who is angry. It doesnt cost much. Partners should learn how to use it. It will help.

Marriage is meant to be enjoyed and not endured. It has nothing to do with u having a PHD, MSC, BSC, being posh, being the president and the rest. Its all about using ur Gods given wisdom, doing what is right at the right time, knowing when to keep quiet and when to say i am sorry. When to quit and when to endure.

Men, child bearing sometimes make women look older or not so cool as per when u guys where dating, thats not enough reason for u to look outside or start misbehaving. If you truly love her, all she needs is ur advise, encouragement and ur support in order for her to burn that fat and look good once again. Its not easy to go thru pregnancy and give birth safely, she needs ur support and on the other hand, women should also know how to package them selves. No matter ur size, eat right, exercise and package ur self, look good and be happy with ur self.
Cos never you leave the key to ur happiness in any mans pocket, true happiness lies with in you. Its in you. Be happy and do the right thing and if both of you are meant to be. Ur marriage will be a successful and happy home.

If you cant work towards your marriage, abeg pls remain single rather than bringing innocent children into this world to suffer thru seperation and not caring for them. Children is a blessing from God and needs both parents for their upbringing cos they need to be loved and cared for.

Keep pushing till the sky becomes ur limit. God help us all.

Treat your woman like a queen and she will treat you like a king

Everyone should remember that true remorse is change in behavior. Putting family happiness 1st. Protecting your spouse, making them at home with you. Never comparing them, appreciating their effort no matter how little.

The grass is never greener on the other side. Infact you should be so committed to making your marriage better daily that you aren't left with anytime to notice if there's any other side with or without grass.

This every day Chronicle has messed some people's brains up to the extent that they now think that every married woman is in an unhappy marriage.

Marriage is sweet jare when u. Are in it with the right person and also when you are financially blessed.

    Money also makes marriage sweet.

    Marriage is hard but sweet.

Uhmm, bt bck to the issue at hand, life isnt a bed of roses, therefore marriage is far from being one aswell. It need work! 24hr round the clock work and it need pple who are willing to mk it work. Bt it could be fun and interesting and all, bt for it to be called a successful marriage, it involves work, commitment, compromise, understanding, and more work. Hope I did not write a typo, before bvs come at me ooo.

  34. True words there...it's not the fighting that makes you strong, it's what happens after- the understanding, the forgiveness, the renewed bonding, the strength that flows from one to the other oh and the sex. No marriage is perfect...in fact perfection is impossible ( when the people involved are not perfect ) but it can be bliss if both parties work towards it.
This does not in anyway relate to nor condone abusive relationships & marriages where the fighting no be here.

  38. U're right Stella. My marriage isn't perfect..I learn every time i fight with hubby...

I learn not to say some things, and to be a better person, and act right even though we are "bonning" for each other cos he does't even change when we are fighting he shows his love more.

In the end, I think it takes u to remain sane and don't let your partner change u negatively.

  39. Hmmm!

    Surprising, because mine is.

He wakes me up with a kiss, flowers and chocolates each morning, and carries me into the shower, before making me breakfast.

    We take turns with cooking.

I do the shouting and he does the apologising.

I think the only imperfect thing is that we don't 've enough money as we will want to, cos we hardly quarrel, we always 've our heart to heart talk where we reassure each other about how much we love each other.
