House Of Reps Honour Exceptional UNILAG Graduate..

Ayodele Dada, the 29-year-old young man who graduated with a cumulative grade point average of 5.0 from the University of Lagos was on Wednesday honoured by the House of Representatives.

Dada received a standing ovation from the House during plenary in honour of his rare academic feat.

In an unprecedented gesture, the House suspended its rules to invite Mr Dada into its hallowed chamber to honour him and commend his remarkable achievement, a tradition usually reserved for visiting presidents and parliamentarians.

The lawmakers noted that the young man's success story in the face of the challenges in the education sector, is compelling and an inspiration to the Nigerian youth and the country in general.

  10. Yes, these are the kind of people who deserve to be celebrated. They are good examples to our children. It is good to help those who derailed along the line , but don't make it seem like they are role models. Example, Olajumoke left primary school to go 'chop' adam's apple, now they portray her like a role model. Helping her is good, but don't let our children think she should be emulated. No, I am not jealous of her and God knows I don't want to be popular. I am only stating my opinion. Curse me, it will go back to you hundred folds. I am coming back to read the responses to my controversial comment. I am ready today!

    1. Lolzzz.. U don't need to go anon. I get ur point but all d same,is not of him that willeth nor him that runneth, but of Lord that sheweth mercy. To some he gave talent and through it they are made/famous. Eg musicians, comedians etc,to others exceptional brilliance like this first class guy and to others he favours just by grace. Na so e be. Jumoke own even beta say she got married.. no be say she just waka begin chop apple come born. Na just opportunity.

Thumbs up@ Ebi. Until pple understand what favour means, they will just be struggling and toiling while watching those with less effort are rewarded. My dear,I tell pple, it is not my fault that God decided to favor me. Even if I myself know I don't qualify for 95% of the things I very but what can I do than to just keep giving praises. Hmmmm, it is well with our souls.

I am sure job opportunities will be thrown your way,the problem now is which to select. hehe

Everyone deserves a chance, even some school drop-outs, bread sellers, once had dreams.

When that dream becomes a reality, you berra "werk" it.

  15. James did you go to school at all. "He still have to make money"
You came first, but you must have failed in English language. Your English is soooo poor in most of ur comments. Our Educational system in this country has really gone down the drain . I see some job applications at work, and I just shake my head in disbelief.

Like I said some days ago. It takes an intelligent mind to identity another.

    1. It runs in your family? O boy James it's enough o. If your family is as intelligent as you, then your neighbors are in trouble lol, because you sound like a half wit. You are screaming intelligence and still writing unintelligent. An exceptionally intelligent person won't have to scream it, it speaks for itself. Yours is very mute. Money maker aka James, you've being trying so hard please it's not working. Drop it o. Who are you trying to impress? You are faceless like me behind that your Windows 95.ah ah weti happen. Online everyone is a hero, until we they've started bagging PhDs.

  22. Not only free job... Everyone of you that took time to write your CVs, take assessments and attend interviews do you have 10 heads. Since he is that good he should go through the same process and not settle for mediocrity. They have commended him LET IT REST!!! Nigerians can be soo sentimental. After all the certificate is in his name. Stop dwelling on past glory and move on.

  23. Anon 19:57, I get your point. It only takes God's favor to bless one as a lot of people have replied to you here. The problem is not the favor God has shown to Olajumoke, the problem is how people interpret the Favor. The Bible says that Grace abound does it mean we should continue in Sin? The answer is NO. Olujumoke has been favored by God after leaving primary school to eat the apple. Should all girls follow suit and expect God's Favor? NO. My conclusion is that simple. Olajumoke can be paraded as one Favored by God but not a role Model to our female Kids. God has given every one a Talent please explore and use it well and God's Favor will surely come
