Help Wunmi Get Back On Her Feet...

Hello Stella, I need your help.

I have been a fervent follower of your blog for a while, i have learnt from people's stories,i have laughed at people's jokes and i have seen how you and blog members help fellow members in need even down to basic things.

This is actually for a friend of mine, her name is Wunmi. I have known Wunmi for ages. Wunmi is an OND holder and the first born of her family,she is actually from a polygamous home and no,its not because her dad is rich or something. Some men just go about marrying women of same caliber and bearing numerous kids to validate their miserable existence. Story for another day.

Wunmi suffered a long time from subserol fibroid,these types of fibroid grow outside the womb and come in various sizes. Her fibroid had gotten so big that she looked 6 months pregnant,so much that when she sleeps and changes position she'd feel the biggest of the fibroid shift and change position too. It was a scary situation. Her job pays her 30k end of the month,she takes care of her sick mum that suffered stroke sometimes last year from it,pays house rent from it,feed and clothe from it,transport herself to and fro work from it even give her siblings so its safe to say she was barely getting by but through all these,she remained the cheerful,smiling girl i have always known. 

Anyways,the pains from this fibroid was getting so much that she was basically living on ibuprofen every 8 hours to cope with the pains. 

At this point,i'm sure you're asking yourself what was she looking at or even thinking that the fibroid got that big and painful,she had always known she had fibroid.we first discovered when we noticed that her lower abdomen was rock hard instead of soft and yes, she would have even done a free surgery during Tinubu regime that medical teams were moving from LGA to another,she went to see one of such and they discovered a lump in her breast,she had a surgery done then to remove it,it was free,it was afterwards that she discovered the fibroid, prior to discovery,she had already lost like 2 to 3 pregnancies in their early stages,she was dating some muslim dude then that insisted she must get pregnant and deliver a baby before they get married,in her desperation to marry this guy [he was her first love], after loosing the pregnancies and seeing he was kind of loosing patience and interest,she started using fertility drugs,it was these fertility drugs ,according to some of the numerous doctors we met that sped up the fast growth of these fibroids. And yes,you guessed right, the guy left once they discovered she had fibroid.

She wasn't making much,ignorance played a large part too plus many many prophets doom said if she operated it,she would die,she tried all kinds of things,drugs,herbs etc. It was when i saw she couldn't bear it anymore that i insisted on surgery,i told her she won't die,she just had to make up her mind on the surgery and the rest will fall in place. We prayed, fasted and set about raising money for the surgery. We decided on an outside Lagos hospital because of costs, she went to see the doctor and the doctor seeing how much she needed the operation told her the surgery cost 200,000 but he would pay 30,000 out of it. By God's grace,we rallied round and the money was raised. Praise be to God,she did the surgery,17 fibroids were removed from her,2 rock like sacs were also removed from her ovaries, some pictures are attached to this mail.

Now this where i need SDKers help,she has being discharge from the hospital,she's presently in her married younger brother's house,trying to recuperate,she needs drugs and care. Their landlord served them quit notice while she was away, she lost her job last year due to her frequent absence from work,these employers no send person at all,her dad is saying she should have money to rent another apartment after all she has money for a major operation.

Please,help me help Wunmi,she needs food,she needs antibiotics,she needs blood tonic, she needs to run tests on the rock like sacs that were removed from her ovaries to determine if they are cancerous or not, each test cost 6,000 naira each,her antibotics cost 4,000, she needs to rent an apartment, she is sad and in pains and is starting to look like 'shebi its her friend that said she should go and do surgery'.

Her dream has always been to sell fabrics, i know if she has her way,once she is back on her feet,she wouldn't like to start searching for another 30,000 naira job but to start selling fabrics.
