Former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi has admonished the pupils of St. Mattew Anglican primary School, Eziagu, in Orumba South Local Government, Anambra State, to obey their parents and teachers and take their studies seriously so that they will become successful in future.
Obi said this on Friday, when he visited the school owned by the Anglican Archbishop of Aguata, Most Rev. Dr. Christian Efobi.
Obi who donated the sum of one million Naira to the school to assist them to upgrade their infrastructure, said that he would henceforth take special attention to the development of the school, urged wealthy Nigerians to assist institutions around them that are engaged in the training of the young ones.
Obi interacted with the pupils and told them that with hard work and dedication to duty, they could become Presidents, Governors and successful professionals in their own rights.
Responding, the headmaster of the school said that it was unbelievable that a school like theirs in a remote community would play host to a former Governor. He assured him that the visit would ginger the staff to greater productivity and the pupils it would be a life long inspiration.
