Enyeama And Emenike Rule Out Return To Super Eagles

Lile of France Goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama has said his days with the Super Eagles are permanently over, after reports linked him with a return to the team.

The ex Eagles shot stopper quit the national team he served for close to 17 years on October 8, 2015 after a row with coach Sunday Oliseh in Belgium.

Oliseh announced his resignation from the team last Friday, with coach Samson Siasia taking over the reigns in an interim basis. Enyeama and coach Siasia also had a showdown during his first spell with the Eagles.

Speaking yesterday on BrillaFM, Enyeama said:“I don’t want to talk about this issue again. I think my earlier decision stands,”

Similarly, former Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike, has insisted that he is done with the national team and will not make a return under Samson Siasia.
The player, who is currently on loan at West Ham in England, retired from
international football last year, while Sunday Oliseh was still the handler of the Eagles. “I’m done with the Super Eagles, and I am making it clear again that I am not going back. It’s my decision and I am not going to reverse it, I am sorry if I have offended anybody regarding this but no Eagles return for me,” he said, according to SportingLife.

“Like I said, I didn’t quit because of anybody, it was a personal decision. Oliseh didn’t force me out of the Super Eagles as it was reported, I don’t need anybody to speak with me before I take a decision. It was my decision and I won’t reverse it.”

Emenike made his debut five years ago for Nigeria and was top scorer at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, which the Eagles won.

Na wah....wish you both all the best!

  5. Let them not return! Expired players. I wonder why Nigerians will keep begging these old men to return yet you want to see results. There are many hungry dare devil players in the local leagues begging to be given a chance, look at the magic that little boy did for MANCHESTER UNITED, bring in these young players and let them charge up the atmosphere and remove all these old players that cannot even chase ball. Do you know how many young talents we have in this country? Same thing in Politics, same old people. Yet we want change!
May God deliver us from the spirit of RECYCLE BIN!
