PREGNANCY QUESTIONS
Good day,Stella Kork and fellow BV's. I have a question and I need
experienced mothers to please answer me.
I am in my 2nd trimester(first time mom to be) and the 2nd scan also
shows baby in cephalic position(Longitudinal)just like the first
scan.Though,I feel butterfly movements sometimes but I read that baby
turns to cephalic position during the third trimester. My question now
is...
-Is it possible for a foetus to be in cephalic position throughout pregnancy?
-Does it mean the foetus doesn't move round the womb or not active? I
asked my doctor but they always have this I don't care attitude that's
why I want those with this kind of experience to enlighten me
more.Thanks and God bless!
Go to another hospital please.
ReplyDeleteBabies move in the uterus but stays in a certain position in late trimester.ie engagement.
ReplyDeleteDoctors have I don't care attitude and you think saying that will make doctors dance around you. The time you used to type this ignorance would have been useful for you to browse the internet for answers.
DeleteTomorrow you will go and say SDK doctors are quacks.
Next time go straight to your question and cut off unnecessary long story of what does not matter. In the UK, new mums are the most informative because they use the internet to check every single thing that happens to them. If you decide to stay 20 hrs with your doctor (it is your money running the race). You have access to the internet and SDK blog yet you cannot use it rightly. Crucify the doctor for not answering JAMB question. Pretty sure you went to a quack.
Pele madam uk
DeleteLol anon. I don't even get your question. But this is very simple. Nigerians don't know how to use the internet. Everything is there. It has helped me countless times. Employ it too. I think your baby is fine.
DeleteI'm glad u practice in uk, don't carry that Nigeria attitude enter their if not they will sue ur ass. Every patients has right for explanation I understand the woman and the Nigeria doctors attitude.
DeleteMadam from the little I know
ReplyDeleteBabies changes position till the ninth month when they are expected to be in cephalic position before birth.
U should be happy 😊 that ur baby is in normal position.
Good luck on ur pregnancy journey
Look for google before him go MARS
ReplyDeleteSpecial baby
ReplyDeleteNothing abnormal about the baby's position. Stop worrying yourself over nothing. As long as you feel its movement constantly. About the Drs attitude - there's a large patient load on a single Dr who hasn't had much sleep in days. Sometimes we forget drs are human too working round the clock in a work unfriendly environment. Enjoy your pregnancy, it's a beautiful experience. The only time to worry is if your baby is breech at EDD, even then that's not such a biggie if your are in good hands.
ReplyDeleteWe Jos rock.......
DeleteYes we do!👊
DeleteI don't understand....I will be back to learn
ReplyDeleteNo idea.
ReplyDeleteRelax honey. You got nothing to worry about. Cephalic position with a longitudinal lie shows that your baby is positioned with head facing down your pelvis. There is still enough room for movement before your due date. It may just so happen that at the time of your scan, that's the position the baby has assumed again probably because it's his/her comfortable lie. That the baby is in a cephalic position does not necessarily mean that the baby's head will 'engage' in your pelvis (as in prep for labour) that will only happen when you are due or as long as you do not stress yourself to warrant a premature labour.
ReplyDeleteYou may want to note that cephalic position, longitudinal lie with a mid uterine anterior placenta is one of the best and safest postions for your baby and placenta during pregnancy. Calm down and rock that pregnancy. Wishing you a safe delivery. If you have any more questions, I am here for you.
My dear u rock, nice
DeleteThe doctor is like that cause there is nothing to be worried about, babies can turn, change position anytime,. I had same issues with my first child, there is nothing to panic about, I understand it's your first experience, it's good you are learning, but don't develop hbp cause of this OK? God and your doctor knows best, you and baby will be fine wish you Safe delivery. E-hugs…
ReplyDeleteCephalic Position is actually the ideal position for delivery...that butterfly feeling is your baby moving. Best feeling evuuurRrr.
ReplyDeleteOfcourse babies move around...worry less. Some like a particular position and will always retire there,i remember when my scan showed my first baby was breech..i would go get Ice and place on that her comfy position(covers face) I wanted to pursue her..hehehe
Well,she turned.
Btw,if your doctor has "I don't care attitude",you should totally ask for another please,or let him know how you feel about his "attitude"
God's grace.
Doctors in the house, help me please.I had my period twice last month ,9th and 19th respectively. Each lasted for five days.I've not seen it this month and I'm worried.I have it normally within 6th and 9th of very month. What can it be?I don't have enough to go pay for consultation fee in an hospital.
ReplyDeleteWhy are you worried hun..lol..There's a bun in the oven..I know cos that's exactly how my 2nd was born..lol..enjoy the 9 months journey..lmao
DeleteMadam stop worrying yourself about that jor.
ReplyDeleteYour baby is a special baby,, safe delivery. Muahhhh
ReplyDeleteHelp Dr,s am in my second trimester.... lower abdominal pain for the past 3 day....it gets really severe at nite...can't sleep.
ReplyDeleteUr baby is growing, the space is getting smaller. But if it persists,go clinic abeg.
DeleteNo idea, doctors over to you.
ReplyDeleteDon't be worried about anything. If there was an issue, your doctors won't be lackadaisical about it. Please o, may somebody bless me with MTN subscription. I don't want to miss any SDK gist again abeg. Thanks in advance
ReplyDeleteYour baby is fine and so long as you are feeling the baby move that's fine. Try checking out babycenter.com and register to get weekly updates on what to expect each week of your pregnancy. It will help you alot and you can also join birthclub of other expectant mums.
ReplyDeleteThat means u go don dey open leg waka St this stage of your pregnancy, I think your doctor knows what's happening, the solution Is for them to seal u up,maybe the don't know how to do it that's why they are not giving you that option and leaving it to however it comes out cos my dear it means you could put to bed prematurely at any time, note that it may not be and you could carry your baby full time.
ReplyDeleteWho is this ignorant dunce?
DeletePlease it is not a must that you comment. If you know nothing about the subject matter, move to the next post rather type arrant nonsense. What a waste of school fees if you were actually sent to school.
Wrong wrong wrong..my baby was in that position from 6 months till I delivered at exactly 40 weeks..babies move around a lot and then find a position they're most comfortable in..
DeleteMadam there's nothing wrong with your baby..you should be happy sef
Madame pls relax the baby is moving fine. Do uwant him to dive and tumble first? I had twins last year and it was my first pregnancy and I was 24years old,the first was breached (not even buttocks in cevix breach ooo more like buttocks on one side of cevix) twin 11 was transverse(as in laying across my stomach) needless to say it had to be cs from day 1. They never really changed position from week 20 till 37 wen dey were born. The point is enjoy ur pregnancy and don't think abt natural birth or cs. Make sure u don't insist on natural birth against ur consultant gynaecologist advice (notice I said consultant gynaecologist not a general doctor. Congrats
ReplyDeletePoster, there is nothing to worry about. My baby also was in cephalic position when I did a 6month scan. I had no problems whatsoever and I wasn't bothered as long as he was kicking and whenever I go for antenatal, they hear his heartbeat. Enjoy your pregnancy and quit worrying over nothing.
ReplyDeleteYou shall carry to term and deliver like the Hebrew women.
You are the dunce, you this stupid idiot, can you not just stroll off my comment and leave yours, you don't know me yet you just feel the need to insult me all the same,I wonder what is wrong with some people on this blog, always eager to be insultiive.after now you will come here begging for who to help you, most of you don't even deserve the finicial favours you get from Stella and the good helpful bvs givers with good heart.....it happened to my friend's daughter ok,and most of the women on the unit with their babies after they gave birth had same stories to tell,it's not normal for a pregnant woman to be engaged at the 2nd trimester.it could led to early birth.
ReplyDeleteMumu...who is talking of being engaged here...its positioning dear..mofo...
DeleteYou really sound so ignorant.
DeleteIt happened to your friend's daughter. And so they were told what you came to spew here? Lol. Please educate yourself. Google is your friend too.
Who told you the baby's head is engaged already just because it is in a cephalic position? You are indeed funny. Now let me educate you a little. As long as her scan shows Cervical OS closed, the baby cannot be miscarried. Mind you she is in her 2nd trimester. As long as she does nothing strenuous that could lead to premature labour just as an anon above has stated, she has nothing to worry about. Stop creating unnecessary panic ok?.
Stroll on ok, you are d Mumu, dunce and mofo.you just have to always show it that you weren't brought up well. Hiding behind computer to insult people just to make themselves feel better about their miserable lives.so you can't talk without insult ba.what panic is that? Is Stella's blog Er????oloriburuku omo oshi jatijati.
DeleteWhat do you mean they have I don't care attitude? Is your heart we are talking about here...your question is confusing as well.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question, there's a possibility that the fetus can remain Cephalic until birth, fetus can also change position.
In third trimester however, the baby should be on Cephalic position, any other positions will be malposition.
As long as there is fetal heart beat, there's nothing to worry about for now, there should be fetal movement as well, otherwise consult your doctor asap.
Ok...
