Army General dies in fatal auto crash in Yobe

The Nigerian Army has confirmed the death of Chief of Training and Operations of the Army, Major General Yushau Mahmood Abubakar in a road accident along Maiduguri-Damaturu Road on Tuesday.




He was the Theatre Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole before his recent deployment to Army Headquarters, Abuja.

The road accident also involved the Acting General Officer Commanding 3 Division, Brigadier General MSA Aliyu, who sustained some injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.

  7. This is so touching.... yet another accident. These are avoidable accidents if our past govts have been magnanimous enough to spend our money judiciously on infrastructures .

    This is what ordinary Nigerians go through on daily basis, it's unfortunate the high and mighty are been cut in their prime by same road mishap.

    RIP to the gallant soldier and the Ocholis .
