The Federal Government of Nigeria has stated that it has put measures in place to ensure that Zika virus is not transmitted by mosquitoes in the country.
The Director-General of the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Prof Abdulsalam Nasiru, disclosed that the Federal Government had put in place mechanisms to stop the Zika virus from entering Nigeria.
He said that part of the measures included conducting epidemiological tests on mosquitoes to ensure they do not carry the virus.
According to him, as a follow up, there had been regular monitoring already and that a meeting of stakeholders, comprising experts on public health, among others would be convened on Wednesday in Abuja.

Alloy Chikezie, you are very stupid. Everytime you are fighting that you are being fooled when you are a very big fool yourself.
DeleteWhat do you know about Epidemiology studies? All the mosquitoes that give you malaria everyday were they existing when antimalarial was produced?
Did they even come to Nigeria to get any mosquito tested?
You are just an idiot. All they need is just a few specie and it covers for everything!
Go and get yourself educated.
End time things strange things are beginning to happen.
ReplyDeleteSo apparently after conducting the test, the mosquitoes will be instructed on how to fly in order not to infect people?
ReplyDeleteOdikwa egwu!
At least if they carry the virus, people can be sensitized about it and what preventive measures to take.

DeleteOnly God will save us from all these strange viruses ..
ReplyDeleteAmen
DeleteDon't be surprise dear we are really in the end time. We all should start practising good
DeleteWhat measures?? Testing mosquitoes? I doubt a mosquito would fly all the way from Brazil and the rest to this place. They would die. They are not birds who migrate during seasons. Also the same mosquito that carries this virus also transmits dengue fever. We don't have does types of mosquitoes here so that's y we have cases of malaria alone not dengue fever.
ReplyDelete*those
DeleteCorrect me if im wrong but i think all it takes is for one infected person to visit Nigeria, One mosquito bites the person and then deposits the infected blood in another person and then it spreads.
DeleteDid a GRADUATE actually type this??
DeleteGood to know
ReplyDeleteOdiegwu!

ReplyDeleteI live in Psalm 91.
ReplyDeletePastor Adeboye prophesied about this strange sickness.
But I know God will protect his own.
I don tell una this mosquitoes will not survive in this country oh. The ones here will not allow them. Unless those ones are easy to be initiated into the malarial parasitic types then they can come in and drop the Zika in their country. Simple.
