President Muhammadu Buhari has enjoined Nigerians to rekindle the spirit of patriotism and selfless service so as to attract more foreign investment in the country.
Buhari while speaking at a town hall meeting with members of the Nigerian community in Doha, Qatar yesterday, assured that the Federal Government would continue to strive towards creating a peaceful and enabling environment for investments in the country.
He said, “We have abundant natural and human resources in the country, including huge oil and gas deposit.
“But the challenge is securing those installations and to persuade some of our countrymen to be more patriotic and stop sabotaging the installations.
“When people are being abducted and some are being murdered, when installations are being blown up now and then, the incentives for people to invest in our infrastructure is quite slim.”
Buhari also stated that the military has made remarkable progress in dislodging Boko Haram from the north eastern part of the country.

DeleteBuhari should resign. Insincere and incompetent president. How will "true patriotism" help foreign investment when no sensible foreign business will being their money to Nigeria even at this knockdown devalued forex rate when they cannot repatriate their profits? Diasporans watch out, next thing is Buhari will tax your earnings abroad. A soldier that has never worked for money in his life, estacode and stipend champion, ajala the traveller on our government money. Buhari should resign.
