ReplyDeleteYou are the olodo. It dropped from 400 to this
ReplyDeleteTime to change my money before it becomes 200 naira
ReplyDeleteSee them agege bread rising and falling. Smh.
ReplyDeleteThere is no need for insults. The correct term is actually "rising". This is because the value of one naira to one dollar a few days back was N400. Now that it is N378 it means the value of naira compared to the dollar is higher. You can use the example : Mrs A had N4,000 three days ago when the exchange rate was N400 to a dollar. If you convert her naira, she will only get $10. But now that the rate is 378, her money is now $10. 58. Hence the naira has appreciated in value. I hope this clears the air.
ReplyDeleteLeave the BVs here.. dey r all science students dem no sabi economics. You and mr. Olodo anonymous are correct. I think stella was talking in layman's term though
DeleteNaira has appreciated against the dollar then. But in another way Stella is correct saying its dropping from its former exchange rate. Either ways all are correct. No need to argue
ReplyDeleteThe most intelligent piece I've read on this blog so far
