Man Tortured For Allegedly Complimenting A Female Cadet Explains What Really Happened...

Remember the man who was almost beaten to a pulp because he supposedly complimented a female cadet?Well,he's been found and he has recounted what actually happened and the story is entirely different..He was assaulted for saying NOTHING!

Sunday Amari, a 25-year old man brutally beaten by several Nigerian Army cadets in Abuja for complimenting a female army cadet, has given SaharaReporters a full account of his ordeal. SaharaReporters first released the video of the gruesome beating of the man, and the video quickly went viral. In the video, a female cadet from the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA) in Kaduna is seen slapping, smacking and kicking the victim, with other female and male cadets soon joining her to brutalize Mr. Amari.

In an interview Yesterday, Mr. Amari told SaharaReporters that the assault took place on December 31, 2014 at the Jabi Lake Park in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, where he serves as a park and recreation officer. His account contradicts a claim by the Nigerian Defense Academy that the attack happened in Lagos. Mr. Amari stated that the cadets attacked and nearly killed him while he was at his duty post.

He disclosed that he was not the original victim of the violent cadets, who included two females and seven males. According to him, the cadets’ first victim was another man seen at the end of the video. He revealed that the cadets had brutalized the first victim to the extent that the man may have suffered serious brain or nerve damage.

Mr. Amari, who is fondly called “Sunny,” said the unruly cadets set upon him for fear that he might report their atrocities. He said he was carrying out his duty of moving around the park to ensure that everything was in order when he saw the nine cadets around 4 p.m. beating up a civilian. He said he walked towards the cadets and their victim out of curiosity.

According to him, the cadets then beckoned on him and asked why he was looking at them. Before he could speak, they descended on him and gave him a brutal beating even as he pleaded with them that he was a recreation officer at the park.  He said he was left for dead, adding that a kind stranger took pity on him and conveyed him to the hospital where he spent a week recuperating from his serious injuries.

Mr. Amari, who hails from Opoko local government area of Benue State, said he had reported the assault to the cadets’ director, a retired military officer, who told him nothing could be done since his attackers were military cadets.

The Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA) in Kaduna has issued a series of tweets claiming that the assault happened in Lagos while the cadets were on break, adding that the affected cadets would be punished. The NDA did not respond to emails from SaharaReporters seeking information on the identities of the cadets who took part in the horrifying beating of Mr. Amari.

These Cadets must be fished out and punished.......Nigerian Defence Academy has a big challenge on its hand....Those cadets can be court marshalled right?then do it!

Wht I am sure of is that wen they r on brk they dnt wear their uniforms and they dnt embark on official trips when they academy are not in session. Abi they beating scatter ur brain u no fit remember when it happened exactly. But it's wasn't when you said it happened. It could be early december or november 31st or October 31st but sure as hell not december. You don dey spoil ur chances of being helped o. Check ur story again. Abi u need ur brain2be reset! Am not disputing that it didn't happen we have seen dey evidence o! But jst check ur story and get back2 us. My one cent

    4. BeeBee what are u saying? Does it really matter whether it was December or August? Point is a crime took place as was seen in the video. That's enough proof abeg

    5. Bee's make honey and buzz around, I think is doing the same. I have had my own fair share of green brutality, they try this without the green. Social media power is here to stay. Someone should give the bee a slap on the most sensitive, soft and delicate part of the human body.

    7. Even in most violent sports, a hit to the back of the neck is a foul becos people have died from this. These demons exposed this guy's neck and concentrated their assault on that region. Not only do these guys need to be fished out. They need to be made an example out of. You CANNOT HIT CIVILIANS!!!!!!! They are not war enemies. They are not Boko haram. You work for them!!!!!!! You fucking bastards are paid with our hard earned taxes!!!!!!!!!!! Justice must be done oh. It must!

    8. Sisi Eko, it matters. It is obvious those cadets did something very wrong here but it's not helping this guys' case that he's making stuff up and not being accurate too. It might damage his claim if the cadets provide anything that proves he lied about anything, then the other truths would be disqualified too. Eg, you can't claim someone attacked you in Enugu on a certain date when the person provides proof the he was in Jos on the same day, even with a video proof. They can admit that what the video shows was what really happened but the way it happens/reason it escalated was because of what you did. And since there's proof that you lied about the date already, the opposition's testimony would be more valued than yours. That's why you always need to stick to the truth. I don't think this guy was only a bystander before he was attacked, I think he got involved somehow, probably also said something to the female cadet as was mentioned in the video while they were beating him. It might be somewhat rude to make a flirty, passing comment to an officer in uniform, especially considering the tone of voice That was used. But it's still not a crime and they never should have assaulted him that way. The guy on the other hand didn't need to twist or omit things to make his side sound more sensational. Comparing his version of what happen to the video, you can tell he's not being 100% truthful either.

    Ara gbagbo ha there!!!

They'll be the ones screaming, 'bloody civilians' as if they have water running through their veins.

Well, I agree with the civilian part. They are far from civilised.

    Primitive uniform wearers.

    Mtchewww!

Even the females are not left out from their animalistic behaviour.

Hmmm, this is just sick. This lady has no human feelings anymore. Wat makes her different from the ISIS. If she is well cajoled, she can be recruited into the terror group. I think she should be fished out. This is just crazy. It could be anybody.

  9. "a retired military officer, who told him nothing could be done since his attackers were military cadets." These Lines shows that there is basically no justice to a common man in this country. That is how they'll Kill people for no just cost n get Away with it simply because they are in the military. Smh

  11. You can never see the US, UK or Israeli army humiliating their own civilians.yet they are the best in the world. What happened was totally shameful and unacceptable.

  12. The cadets should be dismissed and appreciate legal action taken against them. To serve as deterant to others.

  13. I doubt they will be fished out.

But why are military officers allowed to wear their uniforms everywhere as if they don't have normal clothes.

Their wickedness no get part two. Reason why I don't pity them when something bad happens to them.

    Happy Sunday Fam.

  14. May the cold hands of death wisk the cadets away. Buunch of heartless fools.

  15. Indeed this is Karma. They should be fished out already.

That was how I saw a military personnel beating up a civilian at falomo busstop, just because the man who taught he had stopped for him to cross, ran across the road only to be hit by his car and his side mirror broke,

I was amazed when he got down from the car, was thinking he was going to check on the guy to see if he is hurt, while we were all scared for the guys life, he got down and started pounding on the guy.

I was irritated at the sight of him doing that.

That was the only day I wished I had spiritual power so I could visit him that night and whip some sense into him.
