Governor Wike Attends Thanksgiving Service

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on Sunday worshipped at the Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt, where he joined others to praise and thank God for the judgment of the Supreme Court validating his victory.

Governor Wike was accompanied to the Church Service by his Wife, Justice Suzette Eberechi Nyesom-Wike, the Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus and his wife, Rivers PDP Chieftain, Chief Sergeant Awuse and the Rivers State Finance Commissioner, Dr Fred Kpakol.
The governor and his entourage were led in a thanksgiving prayer and praise session by Pastor David Ibiyeomie of the Salvation Ministries.

In his sermon, Pastor David Ibiyeomie said that giving thanks to God for any feat attained is necessary for more blessings from God.
He said rather than complain, people should cultivate the attitude of thanksgiving to God.

It will be recalled that Governor Wike in his broadcast titled,
“To God be the Glory” after the Supreme Court judgement said:
“We thank the Almighty God for His Grace. For without Him, we are nothing and we could have done or achieved nothing.

  6. Democracy is heavily flawed and what we need to witness the change we all desire is another form of governance preferably that which is dictatorial in nature. To be honest I do not think the black race has it our DNA to produce that one person that will sacrifice personal gain for the common good.
Pardon the rant but how this urchin is the best Rivers people could put forth is beyond me. Y'all should misunderstand me because Dakuku isn't any better.Infact the current and entire political class needs to be overhauled but the principle of democracy requires that the man with the most vote albeit obtained/garnered fraudulently be declared the winner to lead his/their people to damnation.

It pains me that the west continue to insist that democracy is the way. We will not get the desired change until we revisit our various histories to find out what worked best but apparently history has been distorted. Even if it has leta draw examples from people like Chairman Mao, Stallin, Dubai king (who proclaimed that his country will be better than Paris in 10 years), Alexander the great et al. If we continue with this yeye "democrazy" in this country ehn, one day we will wake up to find that one these idiots ruling us has sold us to Gabon
