YET TO SEE PERIOD AFTER 28 DAYS
Dear Doctors, please I need your help, I don't know if am pregnant or not. The reason is that on the 21st of January 2016 I saw my monthly period which lasted for 4- 5 days after that I had sex with my husband.
Its Feb and am yet to see my period which is supposed to come on the 17 or 18th of Feb 2016, on the 17th of this month I had pain in my stomach which I normally have on the 1st day of my monthly period but since then am yet to see my period.
I have done a personal pregnancy test and its negative. Please doctor, I am confused now cos I don't know what to do. Please I need your advice

You had sex with your husband and your menses is yet to come and pregnancy test is negative. Then what should we do. Anyway I don't want to quarrel today. Congratulations if you like no get belle.

ReplyDeleteThere is no point.it will still come out positive. Haba! If she had tested a fews days before her next menses,she wud have even seen a faint positive line sef if she is preg
Delete-ve I mean.I did mine 3days after next my menses didn't show and it was a clear bold positive line I saw. It was urine test and in the afternoon sef.
DeleteMenstrual dates change in Februarys...tho u may still be preg but still very early.Give it one more week,your HCg should've been high by then.Congrats in ad.

If its negative then u don't have a problem, sometimes anxiety and stress can delay ur period, but since u are impatient to wait, go and see a gyna.
ReplyDeleteI started my period on 15th Jan and up till now, I'm yet to see my period. I was admitted and treated for typhoid late Jan, maybe that's the reason I don't know.
ReplyDeleteIs this what they call irregular period? I'm 27 and still a virgin, no issue of maybe pregnancy or not, but I'm just curious to know cos my period has never been consistent. Does irregular period has any negative impact in future? Sorry to disturb you, Doctors please help me out too
Madam, go for blood test, its more reliable, some of these home kits are not reliable.
ReplyDeleteYou can take another test in like 4 days. Better, go for a blood test. It might be too early for the strip to detect. It's always advisable to wait at least 1 week after your expected period. This same thing happened to me earlier this month. I felt abdominal cramps, thought my period was coming. Then I waited for 10 days. Pregnancy test was positive but the line was very very faint. Like I said earlier, depending on the type of strip used. It may not detect it. Tried a few days later, line became bolder. If after all this you don't get results please please go and see your doctor. All the best!

ReplyDeleteTake a blood test! If u are pregnant, it might be to early to detect with a urine test! Blood tests detect even from day one

ReplyDeleteEarly pregnancy is sonetimes detectable by blood test. After 9 years of barrenness l was about to do IVF. Before procedure they do a blood test to be sure you are not pregnant. The test came out positivebl have a 5 yr old son today. The urine test had not detected the pregnancy. Just relax. l did nine years of barrenness in the end l just concieved when l was not ecpecting it.
ReplyDeleteOnly blood test can detect early pregnancy or you wait for about ten more days and repeat the strip test.

I had a positive result on all pregnancy test brands after I was about 4-5 weeks pregnant. Be patient :) maybe you ovulated late as well. Good luck

ReplyDeletesome times urine test will tell you negative while you are positive. don't waste your time asking just go for blood test,with that you can have rest of mind.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous with irregular issue, for the fact that you are still a virgin and still single dose not mean you should cross your legs and arms when you notice anything that is not ok with your body, is better you treat it now that you are still single than when you are married and it would have done a lot of damage on your body. see a doctor, carry out some test and scan to be sure you are on the right track, i do not play with my body at all, if i notice any change omg i don fly to see my doctor, when am not comfortable with what he tells me I go to my doc No2. health is wealth, no time to waste asking questions. good luck.

ReplyDeleteSometimes our bodies play tricks on us.if you were taking any pre natal drugs it could also cause a delay in your menses.i am talking from experience. Please give it a weeek before another PT.i wish you a positive result.
ReplyDeleteMy dear,i can only advise you to go and get a scan done.That why you will get ans to your questions since you have done a PT text and it read negative.It will also show you if there is any other problem.
ReplyDeleteSince the pt is negative,wait a few days then repeat the test. If after that the test still shows negative then you should go to the clinic.
