Doctors In House Section..

Hello Docs...wey una?

UNUSUAL MENSES

Hi Stella...
Please help me post this in the doctors in house section.
I am a 23 year old lady and for the past two years my menstrual blood has been dark brown, from the first day it starts to the last day of my flow.

I noticed the colour changed when I was on a weight loss diet and its still dark brown although I have gotten to my goal weight and no longer on a diet.

Nothing has changed about my menstrual cycle apart from the colour. I still have it for 3 to 4 days,no weird smell, no unusual pain, never had a heavy flow and I still don't have it.

Please help! This makes me so worried. Should I be?

  9. Some bvs can be nasty at times, see this anon telling her to use the menses to cook for her husband as if the poster is asking for what to do with the abnormal menses. Pls if you haven't answers to questions or problems of others just skip the post to the next and stop showing your insensitivity to issues bothering others period

  11. I think you'll need a visit to the gynecologist and may be required to so an ultrasound scan. However, brown blood during the period is not unusual, it only indicate old blood. its usually noted during or towards the late end of the menstrual flow. From time to time, the consistency of blood color might change. But a continous flow of brown blood for the entire duration of the menstrual flow might not be totally unusual and possibly does not suggests any gynecological problem...but i'll advise you to err on the side of caution by booking an appointment with your gynecologist, there are other questions that will need to be answered. My opinion.

  15. Poster, why not run a pap smear test or a virginal swab test to run if it is caused by any infection or visit a good clinic.

  16. Your red blood cell is infected, but that is not a big problem. Go to specialist and get drugs for that.

    1. What are you talking about? Please dont show your ignorance here. I used to have boils as a teenager and I didnt even know how boys/mens privates looked like. Because of the consistency of the boils, they had to run a test and found out that I had a heavy growth of staph, gram +ve. I was placed on some heavy antibiotics and that was how it all stopped. She should visit her doctor and find out what her problem is.
Please not everyone is as promiscuous as you. If you dont have any sensible thing to say to the girl, move on to the next post.
