Even the sounds of blazing guns and bombs couldn't stop this young Syrian sweethearts from saying I do .......
The wreckage of the Syrian city of Homs became the bittersweet backdrop for a young couple’s wedding pictures. Nada Merhi, 18, wore a traditional white gown when she married camouflage-clad Hassan Youssef, 27, on Friday.
Youssef is a soldier in Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s army, which took Homs from rebels in November. The wedding took place as Assad’s forces closed in on another rebel stronghold to the north, Aleppo, Syria’s second-largest city. The advancing government armies and intense Russian air strikes sent a new flood of Syrian refugees — as many as 70,000 — rushing to the Turkish border.

She just became an adult and got married.
DH has a Syrian friend who married the Daughter of his father's brother.the two of them and their two kids looked shockingly alike, used to freak me out until they returned to Syria..Now they are stuck in the war torn zone.
Happy married life to these ones, they might even be related and this is no big deal in Syria oh.
Love is a beautiful thang......lol

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, congrats young couple. Na way for this Syrian crisis, when ever I see the level of destruction in that place I develop goose bumps all over my body and wonder if that place can ever be rebuilt. See the buildings behind this elegant wedding photos and you will see the dirty and selfish heart of man at work.
