  4. Yes, I think it should be removed. So that job seekers will not be faced with difficulties.
But I don't see it happening in this country where we see one another as enemy. A country where one region sees another as less intelligent. A country where our parents told us so many negative story about othe tribes. A country where our religious leaders reminds us continuously that the other religions are the the devil itself.

    4. Nwa Amaka I thought people said u hate Yorubas? This your post is providing them wrong, I remember yesterday or next that u said Dele Momodu is a yoruba man n d lashes u got.

The Govt should also band Universities from doing Catchment areas, imagine u are from Delta state u scored 275 to study Medicine in unilag, dey'll deprive u from getting it n maybe if u'r lucky give u Zoology because their cut off is 280, while one Kano or Bauchi candidate will get 220 they'll give him/her d course because of Catchment nonsense.

That's what affected my Bro from studying Law,

Please Govt should look into that Catchment nonsense evenin Unity schools eg FGGC n co

God gave us 1 brain, no tribe carry 2 brain abeg shmmmmmm

  5. Sounds like a good one though but u cannot change what has been since time immemorial! You can only try but then you still have to work on people's mindset! Our mindset in this country eh...let me not talk...Even this #Change mantra cannot change those... Good luck o.

    1. Unfortunately what they hope to achieve by this may not work.

Reason is, for example, in the U.S.. Americans have their states of origin too.. and u can only tell where they come from by checking their bio data.. only a few have accents that inform u of whether they are from the east or west coast. But their names are "universal". In that u cannot tell where they come from by name. Unlike Nigerians, our names automatically tell which tribe u belong. So that is why I think this will do little or nothing in the eradication of tribal discrimination at the point of employment.

  7. This is a bloody joke right?! Who told him we want that?? Which kin state of residence?! What rubbish. Nigerians will always be Nigerians. State you come from will always matter. After all that has been done to igbos they want to change to state of residence? What rubbish! you have to change people's mind sets first before changing any other thing. There will always be segregation in this country. No matter what is done. There will always be tribalistic people. No matte what is done. What matters is trying to make as many people as possible change their mindsets not try to make us accept state of residence as our new state. Even buhari is fucking tribalistic. How many igbos are in his government just cos the igbos in the east decided not to vote for him he wants to punish all of us for nothing. I'm tired of APC sef.

    5. Your argument is myopic, but let's assume for a second you're correct, that the federal was partial in appointments, what about your governors? What have they done with federal monies, that would insinuate better things if plenty ministers were appointed from the region...?

I am apolitical, but I get irritated by mentally myopic arguments. First demand accountability from your local leaders, when they perform it gives u the right to bitch at the federal government, before then shut ur gutter & get a life!

  31. You better speak for your parents, family and tribe alone because my parents never taught me to hate anyone or to be biased towards anyone because of tribe, race, creed or color. I also know a lot of people whom their parents never taught any such thing who also come from tribes that don't discriminate against other tribes @ Nwa Amaka the bigot.

The only way this can work in Nigeria is if everybody changes their name to an English name because in Nigeria your name alone has already given away your tribe, ethnic group and in some cases your religion. Even tribal marks and accent will give you up.

    1. I am with you on this.

2 of my siblings are married to other tribes.

As a matter of fact, who cares about the tribe? Worry more about the individual than the tribe.

I will not trade my sister in law for anything in the world, not even for someone from my tribe. My friends cut across all tribes.

I thank God for my family and upbringing, very liberal and accommodating.

  32. If implemented it will make a lot of sense, the state of origin thing is so retard it does not remove your identity but it creates equality amongst all. I pray it's not too late for Nigeria. It is a welcome development. Please activate it.flames
