VisaFone Customer Cries Out For Refund

ATTENTION -VISAFONE (If it still exisits)

''Morning Stella,

Hope you are doing well?

I wonder if you can help me get a response from Visafone on this issue..? I renewed my internet subscription on the 4th of January, 2016. The next day, I went to Visafone's Ajose Adeogun office after I could not get it to work and none of the company's customer service lines were going through. I discovered the company shut down that same day and sacked their staff.

I quickly called Quickteller and asked for a refund of my money. They said it would take an authorization from Visafone to do a reversal back to my account. I told Quickteller the company had folded up and they promised to get back to me in 5-7days. This is 10 days, I still have not heard from Quickteller

I wrote Visafone several times through their social media pages (Facebook and Twitter) , still no response. I have since subscribed to another service.

There is an account manager for Visafone in Zenith Bank. The company had a board of directors even if they may be insolvent. Kindly tell them to authorize Quickteller  to refund my money for the service they did not provide. If I do not renew my new ISP subscription with it, I can donate it to charity.

I reported this matter to NCC. They asked me to call them on 622 and I did. I am also yet to hear from the NCC. There are several other Visafone consumers who have also been ripped off and they do not know what to do. I met a couple of them at the customer service centre. We cannot continue to allow this go on in 21st century Nigeria irrespective of whether it is N1 the consumer paid for or N1m.

Thank you for your time.''

    1. You are stupid. Anus face thinking with your yansh. Dark African with dark sense. If this happens to 100 people, how much is that? Even if its for 1 Naira, the money is still his... if you can't support small movements for justice and progress - go and die!

    2. Seriously? Even if its 1k, its her frigging money!
6k would do a whole lot of good to people who really need it if she decides to give it to charity. Some of you just like to say thrash sometimes.

    7. Like seriously? All these for 6k. Can't go through the stress. I bought something on taafoo.com paid with my Eco bank card. I was debited 17,599. I received alert for the the debit but was called by the taafoo.com customer service asking me if I wished to pay on delivery because they're yet to receive payment notice for my order. I forwarded the alert email to them and they insisted they did not get the alert. When I went to Eco bank to complain I was told the money was hanging. I called my account officer after 7 days she said they Re still working on it. I can tell u dat since 2013 till date eco bank is still working on the hanging money.
I am not saying she shouldn't complain but the money might still be hanging.

  16. Let me not even start... Naija is the land of Thing Fall Apart, truly.

    1.
2014. Visafone mast in my area crashes down days after I loaded up some GBs. I couldn't use my data and I complained bitterly at their customer care after the validity expired. All they said was: "Sorry, for the inconvenience". I lost 4GB. I swiftly switched to Swift; beta package sef.

    2.
2015 January or so, I decided to re-subscribe for GoTV using the short code. Did so with instructions - unsolicited, i must mention - I received on my Etisalat line. It talked about one Stanbic something, I think Wallet... anyway, I had N800 of the supposed N1500 (I think) deducted and with no way to retrieve it back. Called Etisalat. After numerous back and 'forthing', Etisalat said I was wrong to use 'their' line for USSD code for GoTV subscription, that I should proceed to StanbicIBTC to get my refund and always use an MTN line for DSTV related payments. Duh, I don't even have a Stanbic account...

This is where the SA connection became apparent to me - Multichoice, Stanbic, MTN... get it?

    3.
My GoTV just expired even though I paid for two month, thout in error, December 2015.

Their agent at an outlet copied my IUC number wrongly. I got home and for two days, no programming. Went back to the outlet and after looking through their ledger and comparing, it was discovered a number was misquoted. Not really a fault of the attendants due to the hand writing... Anyway, I was advised to go to Multichoice office. Did so, complained and kept calling (like 5 or 6 time) even with their credit-munching delays and was assured it would ne rectified but if not, my money is gone after a month. Apparently, that's the case now...
