Nollywood Superstar actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde (with her last child Michael in tow) on New Year’s Eve had the honour of ringing the Bell signifying closing of trade at the Nigerian Stock Exchange for 2015!
At the special occasion at the Lagos Bourse, the stock market responded positively to the presence of one of the Time100 most influential persons in the World . There was a sudden spike at the Nigerian stock market as the All-Share index moved up greatly by more than three per cent! For many traders it was a great surprise to see the market on the rise on the last day of trade and the bigger surprise with Omotola on the floor.
“We saw oil and gas sector going up. We also saw industrial sector going up, that’s where Dangote Cement is. We also saw the banking sector, particularly the First Bank Holding Company go up to over N5. That stock has been trading for less than N5 for quite some time. So, this is a positive development,” Charles Fakrogha, a stockbroker said.
While sharing her experience on the floor of the Stock Exchange, Omotola who came with her last Son, 13 year old Michael Ekeinde and her team said it was a great, learning experience for her she said
“This will be good for the Entertainment industry .Since we are coming from the creative sector, many of us may not know much about the potentials of the capital market but with what ive learned while at the Bourse, I'm going to be working closely with the Nse to bring my company for listing at the NSE and encourage other colleagues to look into the capital market as well.

ReplyDeleteKnowing the only way to have ur own children with ur hubby is through ivf is more painful especially when u n ur hubby can't afford it. I shed tears everytime I see pregnant women or babies, wish, my hubby is the problem , if I am d one with the problem would he have stood by me? just wanted to rant a Lil this early morning

DeleteCry no more dear. Do u not believe in God the giver of children? What if u can afford IVf and it still fails u? So u see, focus on God. I know many who have tried IVf and still didn't get pregnant. Relax ur nerves because God will remember you like HE did Hannah and Sarah. I also use myself as a point of contact for u, the one who gave me mine will do urs too. Godspeed
DeleteAMEN
DeleteNothing is impossible for God to do....cry if you feel like it, empty your chest, then wipe your eyes and be strong.
DeleteStella pls post my comment. Dear Anonymous, I feel ur pain. I wear the same shoes, I've been married for 7 years. We have the same issue as u and ur hubby. I am totally okay, but I would rather accept and pretend to everybody that I am the problem because I married a very good man, and I love him. We have done 2 IVFs and 3 IUIs but they all failed. I used to be depressed about my situation till I drew closer to God. We attend a good church and it has really helped. We're still looking up to God but not killing ourselves about it. We're considering adoption while we await God's intervention. Only the will of God can be done. If u truly love ur hubby, pls stand by him. Seek God's face and encourage ur hubby to draw closer to God. God bless and grant ur heart's desires...Amen.

How timi dakolo (even tho I love u) go win recording of d year ahead of ojuelegba. How cynthia Morgan go win best reggae ahead of timaya's sanko, patoranking and burna boy. Wetin she sing.
I sure expected don jazzy to have acted as matured as I used to think he was but he disappointed me. My Lil bro was telling me he will say his own and I was busy vouching for him. Disappointed much abeg.
