Nnamdi Kanu Refused Bail And Will Remain In Kuje Prison Until His Trial...

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has denied the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra,IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, bail.

Ruling on the bail application, Justice John Tsoho ordered that the Director of Radio Biafra and two other accused persons be remanded in Kuje prison pending their trial.

Earlier, a mild drama, however, ensued among the defence team as Nnamdi Kanu addressed a personal handwritten letter to Justice Tsoho, saying he has two lawyers- Chuks Mouma and Ifeanyi Ejiofor.

Kanu in the letter to the court alleged that one of the counsels on the defence team, M. U. Udechukwu who argued for his bail in the last hearing was not his counsel of choice.

Udechekwu, in his response to the letter disclose his intention to withdraw from the team of the defence counsels.

  3. Stella stop posting half news

The judge gave the reason why he wasn't granted bail

The judge said he isn't convinced that Nnamdi will stop the agitation for biafra if giving bail. He isn't convinced that he is a changed person as he has continually claimed he was exercising his right

He also said the fact that Nnamdi has dual citizenship makes it easy for him to jump bail and skip the country

So instead of granting him bail, what he can do for him is to accelerate his hearing daily.

And fixed hearing for february 9,10,11

This way he can be sentenced or released on time

    2. How dare you compare this mofo to NELSON MANDELA, queen of deceit? HOW DARE YOU????????????????????????
Fools like you think, I am and many others are ready to lose all our investments running into millions of Naira, because of your stupid far fetched dream of a biafra country? My parents survived the biafra war and they pray never to let their eyes see another civil war in Nigeria! Miscreants who don't know the meaning of war, will be chanting nonsense slogan and destroying people's property in the name of protest! Why don't you and your family move to the village first and continue your fight from there than deceiving the poor illetrate igbo boys? Kanu has a DUAL citizenship, any smart Alec knows he has an escape route. Let him tear his blue passport as he did to his Nigeria passport, and hold only his biafra passport to show his 101% commitment!
      -Igbo man.

    1. If his other nationality is American.. then he's in trouble after his case with Nigeria. Anything related to terrorism is irritating to the Americans. Watch how they'll find something to nail him with, and then revoke their passport from him. They'd put an alert on his name and start to monitor his activities within. That's the implication of what he's doing to himself

  12. He is also British yet he no stay uk jeje mind him business, am sure he will be filled with regrets now

    1. That's the funny thing
He isn't even regretting or remorseful

That was what the judge was complaining about and decided not to give him bail

The judge said if he grants him bail, he will still of out agitating for biafra even while he has court hearing. And he could run away as he has dual citizenship

So it's best to keep him in jail and speed up his hearing and sentencing...

It's better for him so that he knows his fate already and serve time or go away

But I don't think he will will out easily. I'm sure he will serve time. Let me keep watching and following the news

Biafra is a religion ,it must be realised ,is a Spirit,it doesn't die ,keeping him locked up ,won't change what he believes in,killing him won't even change a thing,we have millions of Nnamdi kalu in Biafra Land,Ala Nso Chineke ,we are Umu Chukwu Okike.Dialogue is the best way to go ,but in all ,Biafra freedom is sacrosanct.Must one be in a failed marriage ?

    1. Fair enough. Draft your referendum and intent to secede, send it to the chambers through your legislatures for deliberation. Wait for a unanimous verdict and take it from there.
Isn't that neater than instigating war against the rest of Nigerians and causing chaos for people going about their business? Do u realise how many people have lost their lives bcos of this man?

  16. God bless u, anon 20:53. that queen of d coast abi na wetin . Y u no dey employ ya brain when typing...... Ok. I am neither for Biafra seceding or being part of Nigeria under compulsion. In this day and age there are diplomatic legal means of 'agitating' for what u want. For instance they could take a vote, apply to international court etc. I'm not a diplomat so I'm sure there are other means he could explore if that doesn't work. His sin was NOT agitating for Biafra, Uwazurike and co have been trying to do that, no one has imprisoned them or even called them for questioning. His SIN was calling for VIOLENCE and calling for killing of INNOCENT Nigerian leaders who though are corrupt have not directly expressed violence towards him or any of his kinsman.
I don't know y u people refuse to see beyond the façade. The Mandela u mentioned, he achieved his goal only after employing NON VIOLENT means. When he was violent, all he created was awareness and time in prison. That said, this Nnamdi guy is no Mandela, this guy is an unfortunate Ojukwu which I think is good. Ojukwu agitated for a cause he was ill prepared to fight for, encouraged people to die, killed or ignored anyone who showed him the folly of his quest and RAN away when it was time to die for the cause for which he had encouraged others to die. Mandela was ready to die for his people.
Unfortunately for Nnamdi people have learnt from Ojukwu and a lot of people 'that matter' are not prepared to stake their life for something that may be achieved without any bloodshed, that is if it is even necessary to achieve it.

That said, Scotland tried to secede from the UK last year or so, I think the same method can be employed by this Biafra agitators.
