Well, people are calling them out for using this person as a ploy to sell their products but i just think they tried to do what most Nigerians do in a bad situation - Use someone to make money!
They didnt mention full names so i think the cartoon is not really stepping out of line...I am not even mentioning the name you and i know they meant...Anyone can be Olisa.
Make una take life easy abeg.
Ahahahahahaha
ReplyDeleteShooooo
DeleteEnd time chicken Republic.
Lol
DeleteThere is really nothing wrong with this Ad abeg. Plus my frd's name is Olisa, so they could be referring to him. Lets learn to see the humour in certain things. The country never hard reach like this na
DeleteNO BIG DEAL IF YOU FIND IT FUNNY. AFTER ALL, SOME PEOPLE HAD A PARTY IN KADUNA WHEN YAKOWA WAS KILLED IN THE CHOPPER CRASH. BUT TO SAY THEY COULD BE REFERRING TO ANOTHER OLISA IS DUMB. THERE'S AN EFCC LOGO, THERE'S AN OUTSTRETCHED HAND BEHIND BARS AND THEN THE NAME 'OLISA'. NIGERIANS KNOW THAT
DeleteTHERE'S ONLY ONE OLISA WHO WAS ARRESTED BY EFCC, STILL BEHIND BARS, ALLEGED TO HAVE TRIED TO CHEW HIS (WRITTEN) WORDS. HE'S OLISA METU. IT'S NOT SUBTLE, IT'S OBVIOUS THEY MEANT OLISA METU.
Lol.
ReplyDeleteI sincerely think whoever it is that is handling their PR is doing a good job.
DeleteI'm certainly now interested!
Hahahahaha I like it.
ReplyDeleteLol. They should let the sleeping dogs lie jare.
ReplyDeleteLol!
ReplyDeleteSharp guys@ chicken republic.
Poison republic still have mouth to talk?...
ReplyDeleteFailed eatery that sells poison to people...
You are just so on point today. Yeye people and KFC with their foolish chicken salad that has just one strand of chicken in it and plenty tomato.
DeleteBut come to think of it, Chicken Republic shouldn't have used that cos there are various unique strategies to market your product and not using someone's predicament. I don't support them in this act.
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! This is extremely funny. LMAO!!!
ReplyDeleteLucinda
Or maybe, just maybe, they are the ones supplying food to him in Kuje prison.lol
ReplyDeleteLol, I no fit laugh ooooo
ReplyDeleteNo b small thing. Lol
ReplyDeleteI don't see anything wrong with that slogan. They didn't mention names.
ReplyDeletePeople love to make noise over inconsequential stuff leaving critical issues unattended to.
All na shading if yu look am from any angle, lol.
ReplyDeleteDon't get it. what did olisa do. Plus which of the olisa's? .this 2016 is drama loaded o.

ReplyDeleteI find this very creative maynne.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, incase any of them looters feel so hungry they are tempted to chew paper, with this advert, they should know that food is an order away.
Lol.
#WhiteDiamondOut
You are intelligent White Diamond. I work as an Advertising Executive. The Creativity here, is mind blowing. Love it, love it, love it.

ReplyDeleteThis is the funniest thing I have seen in a while.
ReplyDeleteThey'll come under fire soon.
Dis will go down as one of my best ads of all times
ReplyDeleteThey should leave olisa n learn how to spice up their tasteless chicken.
ReplyDeleteBut was olisa name mentioned here I don't understand this???? How is this connected to olisa they didn't mention anyone's name na.
DeleteSee portable face like overdue pregnant woman dey insult chicken.
I love it
ReplyDeleteNd av saved it
Negodu marketing strategy... Nice one Chicken republic, Una no mention names, so no fear. I dey here.
ReplyDeleteWell it's an ad... As long as it resonates with those it's meant to target then the job of the ad has been done, no matter how distasteful. Nigerians need to step up, cast sentiments aside and appreciate the art. Phew*
ReplyDeleteWoteva...!
ReplyDeleteLol,olisa will soon become a household name.
ReplyDeleteTo me it is stepping out of line.Y is it at this tough period CR choose to mention Olisa in their advert ( and even in a prison environment)? Are there no other names? rme
ReplyDeleteDid u see his name there?? No ask Stella why she posted it.
DeleteDid u see his name there?? No. ask Stella why she posted it.

ReplyDeleteDt wasn't necessary, they went to far you don't have to throw a stone on someone dts already down
ReplyDeleteLol
ReplyDeleteStella, u r a clown...we aLl know the Olisa involved!
ReplyDelete"Eat ur words", "efcc" and "olisa" & u say anyone can be Olisa. Smart business organizations won't do something as stupid as this.
ReplyDeleteThe apc supporters here are really so dumb (offense intended) cos any sensible person will see d wrong in this. Forget apc or pdp fight, these ppl want to dig their own Graves. If per chance olisa is found not guilty of chewing any evidence and he decides to sue, them not mentioning any name won't save their arses.
DeleteAs usual u display ur folly Eka. So if Metuh is found not guilty there's a basis to sue a food chain for their unbiased advertorial that has nothing to do with either being found guilty of a crime or not? So in ur mind, Metuh will then sue on the basis of mockery?? Or on the basis of being found guilty by chicken republic?? Ahaha dummy, u need to go back to school. Don't worry, I'll sponsor u.
DeleteLol.... This is epic but...
ReplyDeleteNot funny.
They should tread carefully, its a small world.
ReplyDeleteTell them! Private business codedly taking sides! Absolutely hilarious though, lol!
DeleteNot fair though
ReplyDeleteLolz, wrong ad.
ReplyDeleteHahhahahahahahahaha
ReplyDeletethis is wrong!
ReplyDeletethat advert should be taken down
Nt funny
ReplyDeleteFunny and creative.
ReplyDeleteTFC why u guyz going Political
ReplyDeleteFunny
ReplyDeleteI appreciate their humor but it's in poor taste. They are a public Company, they should steer clear of politics, they should not be seen to be partisan.
ReplyDeleteI cringe when I read these comments.
ReplyDeleteBut certainly not surprised.
This is real marketing comms , fresh, spontaneous, witty.
This is the kind of 'copy' that not only sells but creates movements.
Unfortunately your target audience is still in the stone ages and can only assimilate nursery rhymes. We have such an incredibly long way to go, maybe that's why in 2016 we are still doing clap-your-hand-jingles.
Pity.
I choose to focus on creativity and not what people are bickering about.
Whoever wrote this copy: 2 thumbs up. Brilliant!
Thank u o. Please tell the ambassador of shallow minds up there. Her name is Eka something.

I think that was a dumb move. I'm not in support of any political party in Nigeria. In my humble opinion, none deserves my support just yet. The advert is uncalled for. The case is still in court, but Chicken Republic has already given judgement. A very dumb one at that. I don't want to be associated with such brand. I was actually shocked when I saw it. They'll lose customers.
ReplyDeleteCreative, though.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wrong move for a private sector participants. Nothing is creative here especially when the matter is still in court et al
ReplyDeleteit well. all na advert
