Akpabio Says Any Money He Owns In Foreign Accounts Should Be Seized

Former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio has denied owning any property in Dubai, United Arab Emirate or any other foreign country.

He then challenged the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to seize any money found in a foreign bank account bearing his name.
The Senate Minority Leader stated this on Friday in a statement issued by his media assistant, Anietie Ekong, where he denied a newspaper report that he had made a secret attempt to withdraw $7.2 billion from banks in Dubai, United Arab Emirate, through channels in the Central Bank of Nigeria.

It would be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari had recently signed agreements with the United Arab Emirate on the repatriation of Nigeria’s stolen funds deposited in that country. This move is believed to have unsettled corrupt, former and serving Nigerians officials, who have unexplained wealth and property there.

Noting that the media report against him was sponsored by his political opponents, Akpabio said the government should investigate the source of such money and also prosecute its owner.

According to him, “We challenge these purveyors of falsehood to publish the full details of the purported $7.2 billion account and we urge the Federal Government of Nigeria to seize such sum and prosecute the owner if it does exist.

“People should learn to accept the outcome of elections and stop this kind of dangerous propaganda in the name of politics,” he stated.

  11. Which one is "Awwwww......", Akpabio is a thief, maybe a smart one, but he's a thief! he lives in Protea Hotel, Asokoro permanently having 2somes and 3somes every night. Weekends (if he's around) are even worse as you see small small girls go in and out his room all day. Before anyone says he may not be fucking all of them, pls tell me what business he's supposed to have with small girls all day apart from pussy biz?
Now, where does he get the money to fund this lifestyle?
He travels abroad with 2/3 girls at a time, is he their father?
I can authoritatively tell you he has houses in Dubai and the USA, in whose name, I don't know but he does! My work puts me in the midst of these crooks we call lawmakers all the time, the trick is to be as invincible as possible and you hear them brag about a lot of things. Our leaders are evil, I feel no pity when they eventually get caught and thrown in prison no matter the noise or propaganda they raise.
