Raymond Dokpesi Arrested Over Arms Purchase Scandal

Today the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested the Chairman of Africa Independent Television, Raymond Dokpesi, over the spreading arms purchase scandal involving the office of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, and the theft of N2.1billion from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Mr. Dokpesi was arrested shortly after noon, Nigerian time, and whisked to the EFCC, where he is now being interrogated.

EFCC sources told SaharaReporters that on the instructions of  Mr. Dasuki, CBN paid N2.1billion to the AIT chairman.

  10. It is the year 2015, unfortunately, some of you still think like the people of 16th century. Dokpesi's arrest had nothing to do with the past election neither a pay back. This simple report reads, "EFCC sources reports that on the instructions of the Mr. Dasuki, CBN paid N2.1billion to the AIT chairman." I expect some of you, with PhD in English language to understand simple written words like this report but you botched it.

Nown why would Sambo Dasuki pay Raymond Dokpesi N2.1billion? To buy arms for Nigeria? Dokpesi is into TV. Does Dokpesi do arms running clandestinely?

Some of you are the reasons Nigeria is a country of anything goes.

  12. The allegations suggest that the procurement of arms was deployed as a false pretext to share slush funds hence all those who received any part of this slush fund from the CBN or the NSA will be held accountable!!!

But no way, some blind followers might tag this a 'witch hunt'!

However, come to think of it, no be person wey be witch dem dey hunt...as the name implies?

So if Dasuki, Dokpesi & their cohorts are witches & enemies of progress, let them be hunted & hounded...PERIOD!!!

You need to watch one of the James Bond series with Pierce Brosnan. Have you ever wondered why CNN is always first on ground in every war situation? I am not saying Dokpesi is guilty, however I think that he may have used his media links to broker security matters. I worked with the media for over a decade and was reporting for BBC n CNN. You wonder how you get easy passage with Tuaregs and gendarmes in rebel-controlled zone. Remember this always, Good News like buying a house is not Good Media Story.
