Ooni Of Ife Receives Oranmiyan's Sword...

Yesterday the new Ooni Of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi finally received the powerful Oranmiyan's Sword. A move which identifies him as one of the greatest leaders of our time...

What you are about to read are Facts about the power behind the acceptance of Oranmiyan's sword...Consider me your History Lecturer from now on....lol

''Oranmiyan was the son of Oduduwa and he reigned as one of the most powerful Ooni till date. He set up many powerful territories and Left Ife to set up Benin Empire and named it called "Ilu Ibinu" ( Land of Temper). Then it was shortened to Ibinu Land,Pronounced as Bini Land and is now spelt Benin Land by the Portuguese. Oranmiyan Gave birth to Eweka the 1st king of Benin and Left to set up Oyo Empire,he gave birth to Sango (god of thunder) and Then left to set up Oke Ona- the current Abeokuta......

He Went as far as Northern Nigeria to Niger state - Nupe Land to set up there
(A section of Nupeland). Then came back to the spiritual Land - Ile Ife to become Ooni again.

He became a rock mortal - staff of Oranmiyan in the picture.

When he was leaving. He told Ife people to call on him in time of trouble and he would answer them.....

Many years ago, he was called upon jokingly and the story says he appeared with this sword you see up there and the spirit started cutting everybody in sight. He was appealed to and he put his sword at a spot in a compound called Iremo (meaning the last spot I will cut people).

The people in that compound left in fear to set up Remo in Ijebu Kingdom along with Obanta quarters for Ijebu Ode. The spirit they say still lives on...

Those present say Something interesting happened yesterday to The Ooni at the entrance where the staff of Office stood. Water droplets started falling on him despite the scorching sun and thousands of people quickly gathered to receive the blessings...''

Huge droplets of water fell down under the scorching sun

More lectures coming up after the Holidays....

History Lecturer signing out.

    5. Hahaha, and Nigerians where critizing people that said you can't serve two Gods... Too funny! Bow to the king of kings and then bow to orunmila. This is the same tactic used by politicians and pastors and people start praising them. I hope we are gradually waking up.

    4. He accepted it because of the respect and honors that comes with it. Ooni is a first class King.
Aside education, money or respect, most people sought for power. Like we see in government parastatals.
