NIGHT Trailer- An Ifeanyi Opara Film Against Domestic Violence Is Out

Domestic violence is a major concern in today’s society; it is not only a complex issue that significantly changes lives but is increasingly affecting many today, both directly and indirectly.

With alarming statistics showing about One in Four women have been physically abused by their partners at some point in their life, is the likelihood that we all know someone who lives with the terrifying threat of domestic abuse. A subject so daunting that it affects people from all ways of life regardless of socio-economic status, ethnicity, age and religion.

As the rate of this menace increases, experienced Stage Actor and Script-writer Ifeanyi Opara who kicked off a campaign against ‘domestic abuse’ with a short film titled ‘NIGHT’ starring Grace Ama, Yemi Blaq months ago is still insisting on men loving women and not abusing them.

“I hope that this short film can get the younger generation talking about domestic violence and to encourage victims to save themselves. This is to remind people that domestic violence is still out there… You hear stories from young women going through it; it is not just something the men in the older generation did because they were ‘backward’ it is something our young men of today continue to do because this society brushes it under the carpet, and doesn’t talk about it, honestly” – Ifeanyi Opara

Here is the trailer of NIGHT produced by Ifeanyi Opara
