Height Of Injustice - Please Read And Watch

CC : The Nigerian Army.

Dear Stella,

I am an ardent reader of your blog and a firm believer in your course.
I want to bring to the public knowledge the abuse of justice that was perpetrated by one Lt Col Godwin.

Below is what transpired:-
On the 9th of December at Peace Park Utako, Abuja. Lt Col Ifeanyi came to the park to board a bus to Lagos and the only available seat was at the back. He was in mufti, I heard him introduce himself as Lt Col Ifeanyi(I can't really tell if that's a pseudonym or not). The Lt Col Ifeanyi insisted on sitting in the middle which was already occupied by a team of taekwando athletes that was coming to Lagos to compete for a tournament.

The team coach told him the athletes needs to sit  comfortably  because they have a fight tomorrow. The Lt Col delayed us for about 45 minutes because  he said he cant sit at the back. The Lt Col kept insisting and we told him can he try this in an aeroplane?  After all he got to the park when the bus was almost full and that's the only vacant seat. Lt Col Ifeanyi's pride and arrogance was more than a peacocks.

After much persuasion by the drivers and others he entered, sat at the back  and we embarked on our journey to Lagos. With the whole incident put behind us, not knowing that Lt Col Ifeanyi had greater plans.
As the journey progressed between Okene (Kogi State) and Okpella*(Edo State)  we approached a military check point,  the Lt Col ordered the driver to park and highlighted. He approached the soldiers there, identified himself with his I.D card and I noticed they removed their name tags before approaching our bus, they ordered  all of us to come down and sit on the floor.

After sitting on the floor they said the offence we committed was that we insulted a Lt Col.
Surprised! As one of the female athlete was about to narrate what happened the soldier there gave her a hot-reverberating slap. The leader  at the check point ( A pot bellied man with Igala or Idoma tribal marks) said he doesn't mind shooting all of us and nothing will happen. Just because someone refused to vacate the seat that he was already occupying for a Lt Col.

We were highly humiliated. Lt Col Ifeanyi told the check point leader to order us to do "funny things"(Guess that's the military term for punishment). After that they searched our phones for pictures and videos to check if we didn't capture any moment. The leader also insisted the occupant of the seat move to the back and vacate the seat for the Lt Col.

In my whole life I have never seen military men behave so unruly and uncivilized. As the journey progressed I was able to capture the Lt. Col's face.

Attached herewith is a short video of the Lt Col Ifeanyi.
Signed
Humiliated Citizen

    2. Sorry about your ordeal but the driver and all other passengers are not sharp at all.
So the driver can't find a lonely spot on the Road and drop the soldier and you guys will give him correct beating?

Nothing will come out of this your story. Their impunity is on another level.

    4. Imagine the impunity. The video isn't coming up but I caught a glimpse of his sour looking mouth in the pic. Bloody coward. Your mates are at the war front upholding their pride as military men to save others, you are busy bullying passengers in public transport becos of a seat? Shame on you. You should be sacked from the force

    5. Hi stella, I am sorry but this story sounds bogus and made up. If you know what the rank of a Lt Col in the army means, then u wud realise that no self respect Lt Col wud stoop so low as 2 enter "peace" and to haggle 4 a sitting position dere. Dey were probably harassed by some other ranks who are always power drunk and barely educated. That's my own two cents

Your driver can't park @ roadside and drag the idiot to one bush, to nake him, humiliate and beat the living day out of him? Sometimes I wish I have some charms to punish such bloody idiot, God will fight for you all. I'm really pissed off

Imagine if this person attains a higher position or even becomes the president of our dear Country, you have to agree with me that there will be big problem. Imagine the height of intimidation and humiliation!!! Please let someone that can take up this matter. If possible reduce this disrespectful human being to nothing. Anuofia

This intimidation must not be left like that. U can try to get other people affected to sign the report/petition. But wait oh, why una no corner the guy for one lonely place give am beating of em life come leave an there continue una journey... those taekwando peeps for forget all their moves for em body. Nonsense on top of ingredient.

Next time he will think twice before he behaves like that again.

You cannot prove nada against him if you have no scintilla of evidence.

    ReplyDelete
