The Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode yesterday revealed his plans into transforming Ebute-Meta into a tourist haven by establishing a recreation park on the stretch of land overlooking the lagoon, adjacent to the Adekunle axis of the Third Mainland Bridge.
Ambode, who spoke during the commissioning of Ipaja-Ayobo and Ikotun-Ejigbo roads and inspection tour of on-going projects across the state, lamented the condition of the piece of land, which he described as an eye sore.
He therefore gave the auto-mechanics under the bridge seven days to vacate the site and remove all abandoned vehicles for the development project to commence in earnest. The governor said all things being equal, the project would be completed before the end of May 2017, when Lagos State would be 50years-old.
At Ipaja where he inspected the just-completed Ipaja-Ayobo Road, Ambode promised to commence construction works on Ishefun- Ayetoro Road. He said Alimosho would soon become the new Victoria Island.
“Three months ago, you would all recall that we came to this particular road and we promised the people of Mosan-Okunola that we would deliver the Ipaja -Ayobo Road before Christmas. It is on the strength of that promise that we are here today. Thank God,we have seen to the completion of this road; it has street lights beginning from Ipaja Roundabout to the end "I just want to assure the people of Alimoso axis that this government is right behind you and we would do everything possible to turn Alimoso to another Victoria Island,” he said.

My aunty waited for 10YEARS, not a month less. She lost 9 babies, miscarried them, they said to stitch her cervix she did but no avail. She could not afford IVF, so she she started saving for adoption. On the month of the scheduled adoption, the husband changed his mind, said they should hold on and save more to adopt two babies at once rather than going through the rigorous process twice. 3 wks after the postponed adoption, she took in, Carried her to full term and that little princess will be 4yrs old on April 30th. She was 42 then.
ReplyDeleteIs God good? YES!
Does he hear your cry and see ur tears? YES!!
Will he answer and give those babies you are strongly trusting him for? YES
To everyone TTC, God that made my sister a mother against all odds will give you your own testimony
Yes the road has been done but still remember some important thing is the trees planted in the middle of the road, they need to trimmed it down bcos it's covering the road, also the governor has to look at command road bcos it's broking into pieces, there is heavy traffic on that road, Ile iwe bus stop after the police station, the road is dividing, erosion is eating that road

ReplyDeleteI have lived in London for 26 years and God helped me to build a Bungalow on Ayetoro Isefun Road. I retired from my Job in London in 2013 and since then, I had been wanting to return to my House on Ayetoro-Isefun road. Each time I have attempted to pack my Load and return home, I am always moved to tears at the suffering on the Ayetoro-Isefun road both in dry and raining seasons.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I am encouraged in Our new Governor because He seems to have consideration for the masses and honors his words.
I pray and hope that the Governor,s promise concerning Ayetoro-Isefun road shall be fulfilled this year 2016. Ile labo isimi Oko, Governor please arise and complete the good work you have started. Enough is Enough. Eko onibaje o. Londoner.
