Fire In UNN Hostel?


I hear University of Nigeria Nsukka, female hostel went up in flames whilst i was asleep..........I hope no one was hurt?

    What is this? who was cooking with hotplate? Hope no one lost their lives. Waking up to think about a man who doesn't even care about me it hurt,hurts alot and I care so much abt him I dnt knw why,dunno y,i hate to feel this way,but I'll be strong to let him go and hope he is happy with the other woman.

      You will be alright darling. I went through same hurt, I thought I couldn't live without him but here I am living my life. Love will find you. Give the hurt some time and you will be alright. Watch funny movies and read comic books, involve yourself in interesting activities be it family or others. Stay happy and love yourself. Cheers and merry Christmas.

    Okeke Hostel.
    The whole series got burnt.
    But nobody was hurt, from what I heard.

    It's very fortunate that this happened some hours to Christmas, because then in school, I knew people that didn't travel for any holidays and stayed in school till about two days to Christmas.

    But then, many of them probably left their certificates and credentials in the hostel, before travelling.
    Nna, na wah o!

    Funny enough, when the hostel just started burning, the picture was circulated on social media including WhatsApp. I told my sister that it was unlikely that the fire service would respond on time or at all.
    And I was right!

    * sigh *

      If it's the wrong hostel, then make your corrections without sounding bitter.

      You want to know it all to, be receptive to learning everyday.

    I saw this yesterday and its really sad sha....
    A lot of properties and documents must have been destroyed and it is painful, this is why I usually like carrying my file anywhere I go.... to avoid story that touches the heart.
    Who knows what caused the fire anywa
    My prayers with the victims and my heart goes to them.. may God console em and replenish their loss . Amen.

      The same fire that can meet you in your hostel and meet you either your plenty papers under your groin on the road.

    Nigeria has failed as a Nation honestly speaking fire and there is no fire service any where near ,where is that my green passport tears it and throws it into fire .(with due respect to Jhw this your tear tear things has taken over me now )i weep for my country Nigeria infact i denounce like mamie water denounce long time ago i have disdaughter myself from Nigeria as i speak ,the obodo is bad ,the leaders wicked ,greedy like what

    oh no!!!! not again!!!. the electrical connection is unn is so bad.it might not be hot plate or electric cooker. something should be done about this re occurring fire outbreak. I feel for the students affected.

    Eyaa, this is truly sad, my room in Okpara hostel UNN burnt too some months back, it took the help of some male students to even quench the flames as no fire service was in sight. May God replenish all they have lost as he replenished mine.

    Very sad. This could be as a result of hot plates,electric boiler or even still cooking gas. I could remember in my 2nd year in Awolowo hostel, this incident nearly occurred from a leaking gas. Thank God there isn't any casualty and this is holiday period.
