FG Says No Going Back On The Fine Imposed On Mtn

The Federal has insists that it will enforce the December 31 deadline imposed on MTN Group Ltd to pay $3.9 billion fine, The Minister of Communications, Mr Adebayo Shittu, stated this while speaking on the fine imposed against the telecoms firms.

He added that the federal government would not consider an extension to the deadline. The NCC had imposed the penalty on MTN for failing to meet a deadline to disconnect 5.1 million unregistered subscribers as security agencies seek to fight crime in the country.

Meanwhile,Mtn has taken the case before the federal high court insisting that the NCC does not hold the power to impose such fines on the group.

MTN is challenging NCC?wow see open eyes!Anyways lets wait and see what will happen.
All those with MTN simcards should never say never..have a plan B.

who is gonna receive the fine?
Will the fine be added to our
    budget.

How is this fine gonna contribute to the national development of the nation called Nigeria?

By the way, EFCC, all the bail money being paid by the 'Dasuki gaters' are not being mentioned.

  28. Lolzzzz MTN said NCC have no right to impose fine on them abi? But NCC have the right to issue, extend and withdraw the licence of any telecoms operator in Nigeria. This will back fire real bad on MTN, for the fact that after the fine was imposed they didn't go to court but seek for reduction which they got 25% reprieve. This deception will not work
