Buhari Orders Payment Of December Salaries

President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the immediate payment of December salaries to Federal Government workers.

Speaking on Tuesday in Abuja at the end of the monthly Federation Account Allocation Committee, FAAC, meeting, the Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun said salaries were already being paid in response to the Presidential directive.

The Minister said the relevant authorities had commenced the payment of December salaries, adding that people had already started getting alerts.

“We are very conscious of the need that people are paid in time for the festive season,” Adeoshun said.

  21. My husband is a federal government worker,he has not been paid june, july, september, november and december salaries. We heard some of those salaries were embezzled by their ministry which I won't mention here. How do you skip salaries and pay the most recent ones? And to think I don't have a job and we just had a baby a few months ago. How is this good news??? I'm slowly slipping into depression.

The one that has retired since 2011 has not been paid his gratuity. He should pls pay them their full salary instead of the half he's been paying and still owning sef. The spirit of the yuletide period has not gotten to our house cos we don't have the money to buy foodstuffs not to talk of clothes. God pls help us o.
