The wife of the President Mrs Aisha Buhari has appealed to the organized private sector and well meaning Nigerians to come to the aide of IDP’s in Borno state and other states affected to relocate home after spending two to three years in the camps.
Mrs Buhari said “to a lot of them its like starting life all over again and the little assistance from good natured citizens will go a long way in helping them to settle down and start life afresh” , speaking further Her Excellency said she had already spoken to five companies and eight truckloads of food had been made available so far.
The wife of the president was speaking while receiving a delegation of four women who recently climbed the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilamanjaro in aid of raising funds for the IDP’S .
Mrs Buhari noted that the intervention of the private was a way of discharging their corporate social responsibility to the society and a path to nation building.
The four women, which include the wife of the governor of Ogun State Mrs Funso Amosun, Remi Abere, Uzo Nwani and Debo Laditan spent ten days in climbing and descending the mountain as a way of raising funds for the IDP’S .
The gesture was initiated by one of the climbers Remi Abere who said it was her way of giving back to humanity on her 50th birthday to raise awareness on the plight of the displaced persons .
Mummy don't make me give you backhand.
ReplyDeleteAre private sectors even making money with the owu hitting Nigeria left, right and center.
No money anywhere, companies can't even pay bonuses or give Christmas gifts like they use to.
They should collect all the stolen money and use it.

Buhari said he will wipe off boko haram in three months.
Its been seven months and they've taken back reclaimed territories.
Easier said than done.
