DeleteI know Mariam very well. We went to school in Dubai together. She was my room mate in my dorms. Just two of us in the room. She was there for her master's I think. I've forgotten. While I was there as an undergrad. She was and still is a hustler. Didn't like her then cos she was too thirsty but I've come to understand her hustle now. Then she would try to coerce me into dating rich married men. Once she had a bday party when she moved out from the dorms to her own apartment. She invited Niyi Adebayo who was former governor or deputy governor of some state then in naija. Can't remember. She kept on trying to push me to the guy but ibwas 18 then jare what did i know. She even put alcohol in my icecream with marshmallows to make me loosen up. Only realised she had done it when I noticed I started seeing double lol. I had and still have very little tolerance for alcohol. when we were taking group pics Niyi Adebayo was so worried the pic will end up in City People back in naija lol. He was warning Mariam. She said uncle Niyi don't worry jare. Also another day while at uni, she called me to tell me she's with Chimaroke Nnamani right now. Former enugu gov. She said she wanted me to come see him so I'll "keep him company & be speaking igbo to him" lol. She used to get so frustrated with me cos I wouldn't listen to her and do what she would say. Did I mention she stopped her master's and concentrated fully on their other stuff? She started at one point wearing agbayas cos she would meet rich Muslim naija men and they liked that kind of thing. Ahhh gosh I can't start telling stories of Mariam well here lol. But as her former roomie I knew a lot! Used to help take care of her too when she would have an attack. She has sickle cell anemia. Then in Dubai the doctors didn't really get how to treat the attacks or what to do for her and all so we would use home remedies. But yep I respect her hustle! She has done well for her self!
