Two Children Abducted In Calabar By Men Who Posed As Good Samaritans.

Two men, who assisted two nursery school children, Etido Asuquo and Ntia Asuquo, cross the road while they were returning from school, Monday afternoon in Calabar, ended up abducting them.

The children, aged five and three years, respectively, were students of Holy Child Convent Primary School located at 5, Efut Abua Street, Calabar South Local Government Area.

A young man, Edet, told Vanguard that the children were taken away by two men, who disguised as ‘good Samaritans’ to assist them cross the road, but ended up putting them in their car and sped off.
He said: “I saw some men standing at the school gate, while I was at my shop. I saw the men trying to assist the children to cross the road.

“At first, I thought they were parents of the children, but later in the evening news broke out that two children were missing. That was when it dawned on me that the children were taken away by the two men.”
The distraught mother of the kids, Nyeti Etim, 28, a widow, said yesterday afternoon that she had not been contacted by the people who abducted the kids.

She said: “I do not know whether the kidnappers would demand ransom or they had an ulterior motive for their mission.”
Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Asari Eta, said the incident occurred around 12p.m., adding that the school had contacted police.

  11. Sorry, this news just irked the sh*t out of me. How do you leave a 5 and 3 year old to take care of themselves (returning from school on their own). Imagine the young'uns trying to cross the road alone as well...Ah ah!

  12. Why on earth would someone kidnap a child.Let alone a widow's child? Fatherless kids.

Sadly,I don't think dis rings like a kidnap case cos,I mean where would d poor widow get ransome money from? Unless...unless she has a rich bro or sis.....whom d kidnappers actually targeted.and not her kids per say.

That bn said, why would a Mom,anyone at that, let a 3 year old and 5 year old take demselves to school?I see someone kids as young as dat walk on deir own and I just get weak.very weak.

These kids are stil very young and shouldn't be let to walk on d road all by demselves.it's not right!it's just not right! Accidents can occur.peadophiles and ritualists are on d prowl.dese are dangerous times.

I hope d kids are found safe and sound.
May God comfort their mom til dey are found.

  18. Some mothers deserve to be slapped. How in God's name do you allow such young kids cross the road? How much more go to school on their own?
God saved me a few days ago from killing a baby (girl) who apparently was enjoying her new found ability to walk. This tiny baby wandered to the middle of the lonely road. Y'all believe it or not, even after alighting I spent good 10 minutes going from house to house asking who owned the kid. I still didn't get to see the mom because I handed over the baby to to the few people present when it happened and went on my way.

  21. God of little children, please protect this children & bring them back safely . Their mother also has to be blamed for allowing them return back from school on their own. My daughter is six years old, I 've never allowed her to go or return back from school on her own. Upon the fact that her school is close to our house.

  22. I cringe every time I see children below 14 going to and from school unaccompanied! Some parents are callous! Poor babies

  23. Wicked people everywhere..
Why would the mom/school authority allow those young ones go home on their own..
Even if the mother is the working class busy type, almost all schools have buses for conveying students to and fro.
So the blame is practically on the mother and school authority.. Then again, no matter how cautious you are, evil still prevails..
Only the grace of God keeps one safe..

Anyways, may God protect the children and bring them back safe and sound(Amen).
