Senate Mandates Buhari to Probe Jonathan On Financial Mismanagement

Citing mismanagement of funds, the Senate, thursday, requested President
Muhammadu Buhari to start speedy probe of his predecessor, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, in his dealing with of the Subsidy Re-funding and Empowerment Programme, SURE-P.....

The pink chamber stated it was crucial that President Buhari ask his predecessor to account for each penny spent in the course of the latter‘s administration on the SURE-P and different poverty alleviation
programmes.

The recommendation to probe Jonathan was sequel to a further prayer moved by Senator Babajide Christopher Omoworare to Senator Bassey Albert Akpan-sponsored movement, entitled: “Pressing have to curb the hovering fee of unemployment in Nigeria,” which he introduced for consideration throughout the plenary.

“I need to transfer that the speedy previous authorities be made to account for each penny spent on SURE-P and different poverty alleviation programmes, and I so transfer, Mr. President,” Omoworare stated.

  1. Buhari, would do no such thing.
Imagine senators who claim to be civil servants earning more than the civin servants doing all the work.
Jonathan this and that, I didn't hear them say the same for Obasanjo.

  6. All ye crooked senators acting like y'all caught the holy ghost should calm the FUCK down. I am not a fan of GEJ but if the opposition insists on blame trading; 6 months after... then maybe we (Nigerians) ought to have your heads examined.
Also whilst still believing and hoping that positive change is right around the corner; we are yet to witness anything that could help believers like us stay hopeful. Also most of us who believed the ministerial list was going to be a start; were shocked to see our past and corrupt politicians buying their own halos and wings and reintroducing themselves as saints and angelsnwith clean records.
NASS abeg face una work and leave him alone until and unless y'all got concrete evidence.

  14. Stella keep that your view to yourself pls. If Jonathan was not corrupt other arms of government would not have had the guts to perpetrate all that was witnessed in the past dispensation. Most of those senators got there because of Jonathan.

PS: Remember 2billion naira stoves for rural women, let the probe begin joor.
