Schoolgirl Disappeared After Going To See Man She Met On Facebook

Missing schoolgirl Kayleigh  Haywood disappeared after going to see a man she met on Facebook.
Two men have been arrested after the 15-year-old, who was last seen on Friday, told her parents she was going for a sleepover at her best friend’s house.

But it is believed the popular youngster secretly met a man she had been in contact with on social  media.

A source said: “Kayleigh had told her best friend about a man who had been messaging her on Facebook.
“They were both going to meet this man on Friday evening, but earlier in the week Kayleigh announced she was no longer going to meet him.

“Usually she would spend the weekend with her best friend and her family. But Kayleigh told the girl that she would be going to visit an auntie instead.”

Detectives are continuing to quiz two men aged 27 and 28 in connection with Kayleigh’s  disappearance.

Magistrates have granted police a further 36 hours to question the two suspects, who were arrested in the early hours of Monday.
It has emerged that her mobile phone was discovered by a dog walker in Sence Valley Forest Park in Ibstock, Leics, on Saturday afternoon.

Her family, of Measham, Leics, said they “fear the worst” as she would never have willingly parted with her mobile.
In a statement, Kayleigh’s mum and dad, Martin Whitby, described her as a bubbly, loving, caring girl.

Appealing directly to her they said: “Your brothers and sister are missing you and just want you home.
“We all miss you so much especially Mertle, your little sister. Please come home, you’re not in any trouble, we just want you back safe and sound.”

Brother Kyle, 18, said: “I’ve not slept since Saturday. She is a 15-year-old girl and I just want my little sister to come back home.
"I’m terrified for her and what might happen.”

Police also searched a house on an estate in Ibstock. Kayleigh was last seen on Friday when she was dropped off outside Ibstock Community College, where she was a pupil until 2013.

    1. We all meet people we've not met before. It's advisable we meet them in public places.

      I pray she returns safely.

    6. At 15 what is she going to meet a man for? Parents be watchful of your kids. But I guess making money is more important to parents this days they forget to watch their kids.

  19. One of the things my parents taught us when growing up that has helped us a lot is no matter where u r going to, always tell someone the exact place and address and who you are going to see, my mom would say even if you can't tell us cos you may be scared but tell one of your siblings!! I swear this has helped us, cos no matter where i'm going to or who i'm going to see, I always tell my younger sister cos you may never know whatll happen.. I think parents should instill this principle in their kids.. I hope she's safe and the angels are watching over her

  25. So many peeps are so naive. I have told several ladies many times that:

    1. You are more prone to SCAM (EVEN DANGER) on the social media (incl blogs) thus you have to be very smart. For Nigerians (esp Lagosians) always meet your stranger 'friend' in an open place say a fast food joint.

Call from a hidden place very close to the venue, call and tell him you are inside, then watch and see when and how he enters, if you notice any move, run for your life, else go in - give him an excuse for stepping outside.

When you are done, do not join him or tell him where you are heading, if possible delay a little as if you have an urgent call before leaving - NEVER JOIN HIM IN HIS CAR.

    2. When you (M/F) order anything online (incl blogs) , insist on POD and meet in an open place as well, check your item very well before parting with your cash.

    3. Anybody (M/F) can be bisexual if you give it a try and stay committed to it either by addiction or due to your gain (cash/satisfaction).

Some married peeps do not know that their spouses are sexually involved with same sex.

Please, people, let's mend our ways for posterity and fear of God.

Anyways, I do not know tom, do you?

  27. Pervs everywhere going after babygirls. The idiot dat wanted to "fuchalam nwata '_tu' aja"(No interpretation pls) even opened a facebook page and was stealing her whatsapp pics and uploading to his page, and even tagged her 'engaged to'. God Almighty. Na God save me. The babygirl for jaaa comot from my tutelage.

I found an engagement ring in (beautiful n costly)her Hosiery Drawer after hrs of searching.
Only consolation was the notes and diary updates she left in there, many read Mum, I'm sorry blablabla. I nearly faint. Na me open gate for her. And my hubby kept warning me 'imeghepukwa, ije chuba'(if you open the gate and let out, you'll be d one to go searching to bring back).

For now, body don tell both parties. Me ma my eyes don clear. Advice to Mothers....please search, monitor and counsel. Giving them 'everything' is not enough. This is the era of interactive media. They watch all sorts and are equally 'excited'.
    They wanna explore. Pray!

Come back home missing girl, your family needs you.
    God is faithful!
