Pictures Of Cross River Born Nollywood Producer, Egor Efiok Receiving Hollywood Weekly Magazine Award

  • Egor Efiok recently received an award Of Excellence at the Hollywood Weekly Magazine Film Festival on 1st November 2015 in California.
Here are some pics and Egor's report of the day.

''I just returned to London and am jetlagged and severely ill with flu. I will write a comprehensive report about everything that happened and share lots of photos within the next few days. In the meantime, you can see some photos on my Instagram and Facebook pages, which are public and read http://e4pr.net/about-egor-efiok/ to have an idea about how all this started from my business liaison with Hollywood Weekly 3 and a half years ago.

Special thanks to Hon. Desmond Elliott and E4PR's long time client, who came with Mrs Yetunde Simpson, a director from Ministry Of Culture And Tourism in Lagos State, to represent His Excellency Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, who received an Image Award for his support of PFN (Professional Filmmakers Of Nigeria) which I am president of. I honestly have never seen any award as exquisite and classy as this and Governor Ambode's vintage massive clock and plaque which was his Image Award, drew gasps from the crowd.

Fellow PFN members, Greg Odutayo and Lilian Amah, also received Nollywood Director Of The Year Award and Special Recognition Award, respectively, as did my friend and Fegocal classmate, CEO of Nehita Jewelry, Monalisa Okojie, who received a Humanitarian Award. These are all wonderful people that have fully supported my projects and have worked together with me to see them through.

My pastor, Patricia Macpepple-Jaja and her daughter, Jade, flew with me to Beverly Hills to ensure that I looked my best. Pastor Pat made my 2 attires and styled me for both the award events and my visit to CBS studio, respectively, while Jade did my make-up for the award event. This is particularly nostalgic for me, as I have had this beautiful 17-year-old relationship with my pastors and babysat their 3 lovely children. For Pastor Ida to allow Jade leave Uni for 4 days to travel with myself and her mum to support me, speaks volumes and makes me feel even more blessed. I don't even know how to thank them. Only God can bless them for me.

My big brother, Andrew Sefia, also drove down from Las Vegas with his family to support me. Although we have always stayed in touch, the last time we physically saw was at my dad's funeral in October 1999 at Ovwian, so it was a very lovely reunion and bonding experience. I thank my parents for their Urhobo/Efik "love liaison"  and honestly think it is one of the coolest things to emanate from my existence. I hold both cultures true to my heart.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and goodwill messages. God bless you.''

Good to see you're still holding down the precints of journalism. God bless your hustle.

To all dem haters saying others are buying mansions, we don hear, and I quote my Grandpa "agwayi ifve eji aba ogaranya, isi ka irakwa ka ira. Ifve erike!"(If they tell you the things you would do to become rich, you will prefer to remain in your position, too many hideous steps).

    Welldone Egor o jare.

  31. Don't know where she got her sense of style from. That thing she has on made her look hideous I'm sorry. What's the massive bow tie, border on the attire and lengthy design for? She could have looked very elegant without those extra nonsense on her outfit. Congratulations on her award though.

  32. congrats to Egor for this wonderful award, wait o, is Egor a movie producer? i didn't know, i thought she was a PR. Egor, did you actually say that you flew in with your pastor who styled you? you seriously need a stylist because your sense of fashion is nothing to write home about. you associate with actresses like Monalisa, Kate Henshaw and others, you need to learn one or two things about fashion from them.
