Nigeria Whoops Mail 2-0 To Make History.....

Nigeria made history today as only the second country to retain the U17 World Cup.
They whooped Mali  2-0 in the final of the championship in Chile.

This win makes it FIVE times that they have won competition and successfully defended the trophy they won two years ago in Abu Dhabi.
Today’s showdown was the second  all-African FIFA U17 World Cup.

The first was in 1993, when Nigeria beat Ghana 2-1 at Japan ’93.

Congrats to them..I wonder what they will get when they arrive Nigeria...Probably a Presidential handshake...

*Correction effected.thanks

    1. Stella, I was awake hoping you will post this immediately. After the match.
Well, Bubu has plan for them Stella. But, they shouldn't expect so much like GEJ did in the past.

    2. My own is that these ones that actually make us proud by winning dont get supported. Its the eagles that dont win that they will send a delegation of 100 top govt officials to their games, give them houses, lands, cars etc for not winning.

    3. Stella in 1985 when they took the cup PMB gave them a house each in Lagos. Haba Stella you wen know ma??

  8. and d handshake is not enough? unlike goodluck gving them sll sorts of grand gifts? houses, lands etc! in a country struggling to provide for its citizens cos d govt coffers r empty due to corruption. so yes, a handshake is good enuff...

  18. I was wondering what ll b in d minds of Boko boys n d Biafran agitators , as they watch d final yesterday. Whatever , up Nigeria , dz is one of d moment we speak out n shout wt joy as one Nigeria . When goals are scored , we don't celebrate d tribe or d person , we celebrate dat our one n only indivisible nation has scored . Dz is what sports ought to be in d mind of people , a unifying factor . Up NIGERIA ! UP GOLDEN EAGLET !!

  20. We have always dominated at this level? Why does it never translate into dominance at U-21 and Super Eagles' levels? So in 3yrs, these same teams that be caned would have developed so much as to beat us? Something is wrong somewhere.
