''Hello Stella hun....
So, my friend gave this style on the left to a new tailor to sew for her and she got the one on the right. This is super crazy. She had to change her outfit for that day.
Has anyone encountered such before?
Thank you.''

ReplyDeleteNa today? I'm yet to see Dat tailor Dat will sew exactly wat I asked of them. Not that they sew rubbish all d time but they never get d exact style.
ReplyDeleteThen go nd learn how to sew, so dt u can b doin that for urself
DeleteLol@ sexy diva. Due to several disappointments, I had to go learn how to sew. One of the best decisions I've ever made.
DeleteNow I make my own clothes myself.
There's this new tailor that opened shop near us. She was begging for patronage n i used my last card to buy fabric give am.
DeleteSee sewing na. The breast cup jjust dey pointed like koso, the off shoulder nearly fall reach belly button.
Thank God I can sew my own clothes and sew for others very well. If u are in Benin and looking for a good tailor, indicate here
DeleteThat tailor's dress is good for deliverance at Bar Beach.
ReplyDeleteSee, Your friend is at fault.
DeleteSee the Aba material she gave to the tailor for that kinda of style.
That style is for a tall person so ur length can emphasize and give room for the flay. Your friend looks short.
Finally, such an intricate and complex design she gave to a newbie to sew for her maybe with 1,500. Let her take it to those places they charge 15k
What we don't understand is that some styles is not just to cut and sew then wear. Some think is the wearer's body that makes d dress stand firm but most of these clothes are padded while some have basket nets under the flay.
Is it the 1500 the tailor will use to buy them?
Preach it sister, check out d fabric she gave d tailor now, d colours sef abeg I don't want to type biko
DeleteThat was lace and it's expensive and beautiful. I sewed mine. The tailor herself decided to use aba linen as the band and other joining.
DeleteThat's what u get for using a cheap ass designer, pfft!
ReplyDeleteJasper tailor, lol
ReplyDeletenormal nnaaa,... half baked tailors!
ReplyDeleteMy tailor will charge you but if she sew for you eh.
DeleteLOL madam irene!
DeleteHehehehehehehehe
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny
The styles no even resemble cha cha
Choi,bad tailor.
help me o bvs, which serum can i use for dark knuckles?
ReplyDeleteTry lemon, the liquid substance works wonders.
Deleteplease ma, what is lemon liquid substance and how do i get it??
Deletethanks and God bless you
Lemon, that is lemon fruit. It can be gotten at shoprite at the fruits section or local market. Slice/squeeze the lemon and apply the juice on the affected area.
DeleteBut when you use the lemon fruit on the affected area, please avoid sun exposure. Preferably use it at night.
Deletehelp me o bvs, which serum can i use for dark knuckles?
ReplyDeleteTry to use carrot oil, it worked for my friend.
Deletegrace duo
Deleteplease how do i get carrot oil???
Deletethanks and God bless
Use Grace Duo...
Deleteplease is the grace duo an oil?
Deletethanks ma
It will surely be back to sender. Wetin be this???
ReplyDelete*Larry was here*
In fact I'm always a victim of this. I just stopped sewing materials and end up crying.
ReplyDeleteLmao...cut and nail tailor but its partially your friend's fault, she should have given the tailor a similar material
ReplyDeleteLmao.
ReplyDeleteThis is the reason I don't have one native attire.
It's that bad.
Hahahaha, na waa oooo! She looks like she wants to fly. Choi kpele!
ReplyDeleteHehehe
ReplyDeleteIt's almost same thing though, just dt the lady on the left has more flesh... lol
ReplyDeleteLmao!
ReplyDeleteI have o!
But trust me, changed my tailor sharply.
The colour of your friend's material wasn't loud enough
ReplyDeleteit's happens for guys too!! lol
ReplyDeleteLmaooooooo
ReplyDeleteShoot @ sight
That is what you get when u decide to give an 'obioma' ur material to make a dress for u. To be fashion designer is not a small something
ReplyDeleteThis is what happens when people don't go to proper instituitions to learn their trade, lmao!
ReplyDeleteClick my name for all your celebration cakes and cupcakes, cheers
I be number 1 victim of dis ooo.. Can't stop laughing!
ReplyDeleteSame to me o @ princess. This tailors can frustrate person.
DeleteSome tailors sow like carpenters I swear.
DeleteHahahahahaha, she even tried to take it home, if it were me the Tailor would wear it.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile people should look at the "model's" shhape/ face etc, when choosing styles for clothes and hair , always pick someone that has the same shape as you.
Hahahahahahahaahahaahaha...
ReplyDeleteEpic failure!
When people will give 2k for a tailor to sew, What do u expect? Let her give the style to a tailor that takes 8-15k. Tell me she wont get it. These are probably tailors whose specialty is iro and buba of N500. Don't blame the tailor biko.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to sew aso-ebi Ankara of 4k recently for a colleagues wedding, na so my tailor call 8k, I say shooor for 4k cloth. Had to beg her to take 5K sef. And she took that just cos it Ankara, not lace.
B and R,i beg to differ.
DeleteIt's not all about the price.
There are decent tailors that collect as low as 2k and still do a good job.
It's about knowing what you're doing.
#WhiteDiamondOut
Abeg calm down o, my tailor collects between 3500-4000 and she's excellent at her job.
DeleteAnd we are supposed to do what exactly with ur last info? Call u a big girl for sewing Ankara for 5k?
DeleteSome 8/15k tailors sew rubbish
DeleteMy cousin doesn't charge that much, but sews too well.
Pls its not about price. There are tailors that charge as low as 1,500 and do a marvelous job.
DeleteEka Joy,do whatever it is you want to with the info!! She was trying to make a point...people be trying so hard to show how dumb they are
DeleteThere's nothing wrong with her explanation of sewing with 5k.. it is in line with the discourse here. Get over yourself Eka... I'm sure I've read u gloat on other threads as well, giving info that wasn't solicited . Here u are trying to shut another person up for sharing her story. U are just unbelievably repugnant!!!
DeleteAny good tailor in owerri? Reply me below.
ReplyDeleteYup. Kalu @ Prefab. But ona atakwa ya n'isi sometimes.
DeleteBuhahhahhahhahahhaahhahahah
ReplyDeleteHave been a victim.
Naija tailors disappointing since 1800
Jeez the tailor na learner. I have been a victim too oh, some of them would claim expert, only for u to see something else. Tell ur friend sorry.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame the tailor! Look ur friend body size n look the style wey she choose! She dey mad! With that big Belle, mttccchhhwww
ReplyDeleteGod bless you for the observation! Don't mind blog visitors cussing the Tailor! Imagine the cheap ass looking fabric she gave to the Tailor sef. Reminds me of that woman here on in house news that wanted a weave of 10k and she used toke makinwa's picture as sample.... cheap ass people everywhere
DeleteLol
DeleteMadam. Don't say what you don't know. It's not a cheap cloth
DeleteLmao... this is cray! Never been a victim. . M not so big on native attires anyways.. and lately the bestie makes my dresses and shes damn good.. plus I can make my own dresses too.. jst lazy!
ReplyDelete* faints *
ReplyDeleteWarrisdis?!!!
That tailor is wicked, and should have her shop closed down.
Did she just up and started sewing clothes?
She no learn work at all?
Funny enough, this style isn't so complicated.
I hope she didn't pay her o.
But,let me laugh first.
Rotflmao
#WhiteDiamondOut
Oh shut it! Poster please give me that tailor's number cos she did a good ass job replicating that style with your cheap ass fabric.
DeleteLol,next time, bring it here@nancy clothier.I'll make the perfect one for year fwend.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, i'm going to sew the original style.
ReplyDeleteI love it.
I suppose it's lace and a net-like material or so.
#WhiteDiamondOut
Lolz...
ReplyDeleteLmao,london tailor
ReplyDeleteHahaha same here, many times. Naija tailors are not smiling at all.
ReplyDeleteOmg!!!this is hilarious.... I have plenty of my clothes at home with these funny styles the useless designers sewn for me.
ReplyDeleteLol.The tailor take style wicked. Well thats what you get when you patronise obioma tailors.
ReplyDeleteThe tailor is an obioma. If it is me annoyance will just kill me. kai sorry for your friend, am sure she was arguing with the woman to pay N1,500 for the beautiful dress at the left hand side.
ReplyDeleteSorry again ooo
Lmao,london tailor
ReplyDeleteLmaooooooooooo jixus o,tailors are something else
ReplyDeleteAm very sure she gave it to an obiioma to sew for her.lol
ReplyDeleteDon't even let me start with my own stories of bastard (yes I said it) tailors in this America. I don't know where they attended fashion designing school. Seeing this picture just brought back tons of memories. I'll see pretty styles on AsoebiBella and give it to these tailors, the result is always an eyesore. Mind you they charge you a minimum of $80 and a maximum of $150. So I don't bother sewing in this country again. Rant over.
ReplyDeleteGo to Newyork. There are bad ass tailors there. U know the naija community there too like party, so they have the best tailors in NY.
DeleteTailors claiming dey sabi pass ur design since 1909! *longesthiss*
ReplyDeletePeople will be forming James bond... Simple I can't make DAT style na.. Nawao
ReplyDeleteUr friend is a stingy soul, she gave it to a cheap tailor, tel her ntoor, next time if u don't ve money make a simple dress, she doesn't have what it takes to be a celebrity so tell her to accept her cheap faith.
ReplyDeleteVery funny. I can relate to it, this thing can be very painful.
ReplyDeleteI'm always a victim, I dnt bother buying Asoebi again...long hiss
ReplyDeleteOh please! I examined both dresses closely and the Tailor did a good job abeg! First of all, you can't expect to look same cos the second lady has a pot belly and not same body size... inferior fabric and ugly color. Did you expect the Tailor to perform magic? Before you copy another person's style consider shape, height and color difference before you run to stella.mshewwww
ReplyDeleteStella I see you refused to publish my comment on the Ben Bruce post. You read it anyway.
ReplyDeleteLondon tailor nko .they are all the same.they can disappoint for Africa, give them the style u want they either sew to tight or too big .Am done with London tailor.
ReplyDeleteYou see tailor and hair stylist, they can do the unthinkable
ReplyDeleteI always forget something too. Lmao
ReplyDeleteAs for this picture up there, I don laugh tire
Some tailors need to be flogged and yes, I've encountered this before.
Ur friends body size nd dt babe's own is nt d same nd two, the dress is nt fitted
ReplyDeleteThree: which kin material ur frnd wan use sew this style.
Four: the beauty would ve come out if anoda colour was added to this one jst lyk the sampledd one.
Na wa ooo...
ReplyDeleteI got tired of my tailors and decided to learn hw to sew...If I can sew wat is presentable enof for me to wear, den my problem is solved!!
Meanwhile, kikikikikiki...funny dress
Do u sew very well for customers too?
DeleteSame with me. I was forced to learn to how sew. Now, no more disappointments.
DeleteHihihi Hahahaha
ReplyDeletePele,Employ me as your P.A! So I will remind you always
ReplyDeleteI have oh. Even my trad cloth was spoilt
ReplyDeleteBut is not the tailor's fault only, see your friend's shape and see the other lady's shape. What were you thinking.
ReplyDeleteLol,most tailors do fall hand at times, itk is worrying dem.
ReplyDeleteTailors hmmm, am sure there will be special place for them in the after life, Lol.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried a To-do list?
ReplyDeleteCreate one on your phone with alarms attached to it...
Or have one of these colourful stick on pads for your daily assignments.
Lmaoooo..
ReplyDeleteSome tailors were sent from hell to spite their customers..
The problem with mine is that he can disappoint for Africa. The dude is good at what he does but he is never consistent..
Give him materials a month before the event and he would end up making it on the eve of the event..
And I just can't stop patronizing him because the guy was born with that talent.
Hahahahaha i agree.and u only find out u hv bn conned.not even a day to d event but on d DAY of d event.a couple of hours to d event.Kai!
DeleteAnd i also agree that some were born GIFTED.
@Teddy.
@Dat Dude @ Efsy.....
Hahahahaha i agree.and u only find out u hv bn conned.not even a day to d event but on d DAY of d event.a couple of hours to d event.Kai!
DeleteAnd i also agree that some were born GIFTED.
@Teddy.
@Dat Dude @ Efsy.....
i think d person shape also contributed to the cloth lack of fitting.............wtever mehnnnnnn, i love my tailor. one n only who knows my taste.
ReplyDeleteUr friend's material is somehow ojere....
ReplyDeleteNa today tailor begin scatter cloth for Naija, lmao
ReplyDeleteThe beauty of the cloth was in the material and different color combination
ReplyDeleteYour friend also has a big belly and short
Her material is cheap and ugly
Razz color and not fine looking
The tailor only helped her name the material more ugly
She didn't even see the hip part at all
Please yall should always buy quality material and getting a good tailor. Not a cut and see type but the one who truly knows her onion
The talented ones are often not consistent
ReplyDeleteThe consistent are atimes not talented
Sigh
Cheap Tailor. Obioma. You want class , pay the price. Don't compare okada with private jet. Difference is 7up. You got what you paid for. Wearit like that!
ReplyDeleteWe've all been victims once upon a time. Most people are carpenters not tailors.
ReplyDelete
