IGP Orders Fresh Investigations Into The Death Of Dr Hestianna Idiodi - Thomas

Sequel to the petition sent to the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase by Concerned Women Voices on November 3rd 2015, the IGP has ordered a detailed investigation into the suspicious death of the young LUTH Consultant and mother of two.

As you can recollect Dr Hestianna Idiodi - Thomas, a Consultant Paediatrician was rushed to the hospital by her husband on Tuesday October 13th with fatal injuries sustained in her home.

The IGP has assigned the case to the Homicide Dept of Zone 2, Onikan which is in charge of Lagos and Ogun States.

Concerned Women Voices hereby expresses it's appreciation to the IGP for approving the petition and making efforts to ensure that the questions being asked by the coalition are answered.

Every human life is sacred.

This is particularly commendable as it is coming a day after the IGP pledged his commitment to enforcing the just enacted Violence Against Persons Prohibition Law which was signed in to law by President Jonathan just before he left office.

This law amongst other things prohibits all forms of  violence against women and girls.

Signed
Barr Ben Odeh

On Behalf of Concerned Women Voices.

    1. Investigations into suspicious cases such as this should be routine and in a sane climate, the head of the Police Force would not have needed to intervene before the right thing was done.

  3. Lord, unravel the mysteries surrounding this woman's death.
Please don't let an innocent man go to jail.

But oh lord,if he killed his wife,chai...God of Abraham...unleash the host of heavens, Let them aid the policemen so that he will spend the rest of his alleged pathetic life in jail...

    So shall it be!
    Rest on Dr

    1. Amen!!

Why are people accusing the husband if indeed there was no history of domestic violence? Was he hitting her ? Did he have a temper?

The laggards called policemen should do a thorough investigation, talk to neighbours, friends, colleagues and the deceased kids.

Leave no stone unturned, let him go down if he murdered her.

The way to happiness is closed to those who do not restrain themselves from committing harmful acts, including murdering your friends, your family or yourself being murdered. RIP Dr

  11. Too many victims. As if these 2015 husbands had a meeting to be abusing their wives. The rate is rather too high.

  13. Well her parents said she has a history of depression and may have killed herself. They say her husband is a good man with no history of violence. Let the police do their work.

  16. I'm just wondering why the woman's family will cover the man if he really was a woman beater, is it that the dead woman did not let her family know that her hubby was a woman beater? Maybe they don't want the children to become orphans or they don't have the means to take care of them if their dad is executed or sent to jail? This case is tricky somehow.
