Drama As PDP Senators ‘Force’ Tinubu’s Wife To Leave Ekweremadu’s Seat

Wife of the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Leader, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Wednesday created a scene on the floor of the Senate when she sat on a chair reserved for the Deputy Senate President, DSP, Chief
Ike Ekweremadu. This followed the absence of Ekweremadu at the day’s plenary.

Trouble started when Remi Tinubu, a Senator representing Lagos Central, sought to second a motion on the approval of the $200m Lagos state development policy operation loan from World Bank. She, at this point, stood in the corner used by the Deputy Senate President.

Just as she was about to speak, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, senators present at Wednesday’s plenary rained her with much criticism that she bowed to their pressure and left for her seat in order to second the motion.

Meanwhile, after seconding the motion,Mrs Tinubu returned to Ekweremadu’s seat, intermittently conversing with the Senate Leader, Senator Ali Ndume.

  10. Na wah o....PDP can like to trivalize issues.

I had wanted to ask why she left her seat for his in d first place. But then,I realised I was only reacting to Wat d PDP senators did to her and not basically for what she did or didn't do.

Ekweremmadu wasn't on seat. No 1.
They d Senators swap seats No 2.
And she was conversing with someone whose seat is beside Ekwermmadu's so I kinda understand.
We all have favourite people who once in a while we see dem in church and automatically move to their pew.or during PTA too.and in social gatherings.

This is no biggie! Them just behaving like wounded lions. Lolz....

Remi wanted to second the motion and her mic wasn't working so she moved to the nearest available seat which was Ike's.
This isn't strange but it's such a pity the childish way our lawmakers behave including Remi who walked out of plenary the day Saraki wasn't on seat.

    1. Well when she chose to disrespect Saraki on national television, karma was quietly waiting for her. If I were her, I'll separate myself from my husbands political excesses and maintain my decorum as a sophisticated woman. I'll be cordial and nice even to his perceived enemies...she should have conducted herself as a lady and u'll see that even pdp will have no choice but to respect her. Respect is reciprocal you see...

  45. Thank God the assassination attempt on Ike Ekweremmadu's life wasn't successful so idiots and desperate people like this wouldn't have a filled day. How shameful and desperate is she?

  46. Perhaps, we should spend less time mudslinging on sdk and more time watching plenary sessions.
Remi wanted to second the motion, but her mic wasn't working so she moved to the nearest available seat which was Ike's, now if you follow NASS proceedings, you'll know this isn't a strange occurrence.
TBH, both the PDP and APC lawmakers are childish, Remi inclusive.
Did she not refuse to shake hands with Saraki? Did she not walk out of plenary the day Saraki wasn't on seat and Ike presided??
Is this why people voted?? For adults to be acting like kids?? Which way Nigeria??
