HAIR GROWING ON THE UPPER LIP
I am 21 year old female. I noticed sometimes this year that I was growing little hairs above my upper lip but I didn't take it serious. But right now its worse and is like a tiny moustache. Its really embarrassing. I did my own google research and I found out it could be hormone imbalance.
Has anyone ever been in my shoes? Is there any drug or anything I can do to stop the hairs from growing ?
Hahahaha...

Wrong move!!!! Don't you dare do that. It'll get worse and you'll end up having bumps there.Use a lash twizer instead. Don't know if that's the correct spelling. It'll be painful but better than shaving.

if you take drugs or forcefully remove them, you may end up with what you did not bargain for
i ocassionally grow 3-4 strands of hair on my chin and they fall of when dem tire
Oh dear..Go see a doctor ok?
ReplyDeleteIt happens to most women from the east. Please get use to it
ReplyDeleteFrom the east kwa.....lol
DeleteSo see a doctor who would probably recommend you go for hormonal assay and other tests....say no to self medication.
ReplyDeleteAll the best!
Your problem is more cosmetic than medical. Facial hair is one of the signs of PCOS but not everyone who has facial hairs has PCOS. Your testosterone levels may be slightly elevated, but that's not a problem. Opt for laser hair removal if it bothers you so much.
ReplyDeleteWhatever you do, don't shave it or when it grows back it will grow back a bit thicker each time until over the years you will have an obvious moustache. The best remedy is to get it removed by laser, but before you start worrying about the cosmetic problems, see a doctor and make sure everything is fine first. No point getting rid of it and it grows back because you have not resolved the cause of it growing.
ReplyDeleteIgnore the trolls making negative comments, they are everywhere like flies and mosquitoes.
If you're able to - buy spearmint tea and drink 2 cups a day - it helps with hormonal imbalance. you should also try to work out often and eat foods that help to balance androgens and estrogen (beans, eggs etc). Like other blog visitors mentioned - google PCOS and see what others who have this condition are doing to manage it. good luck !
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's called a male pattern of hair distribution. It could mean nothing and it could mean your are having an excess of androgens or some more complex illness like cah. However it's best you see a gynecologist for review
