Making trouble in Onitsha makes absolutely no sense at all.

By now I expect the so called Biafra supporters in naija to call on their leaders in diaspora to come to Lagos and ensure Nnamdi kanu's release. If they can't do that then any wise person should know the whole thing is a scam.

    2. What caused Biafra? The Igbo soldiers plotted a coup, took out Hausa and Yoruba leaders and cunningly spared their Igbo leaders?
They killed the Sardauna. Tafawa Balewa's body was found on Lagos-Ibadan express way.
As if that wasnt enough, The Igbos mocked the Hausas in their own land (read Half of a Yellow Sun) written by your Igbo sister.
Hausas retaliated. Those ones no dey hear 'come' and it is no secret.
Go and read 'There was a country' where Achebe admitted that the Igbo leaders asked Ojukwu to make peace but he was adamant. That was when Azikiwe opted out and surrended to the Nigerian Forces.
Shows that Ojukwu was the architect of the Igbos misfortune.
Why didnt all these happen during Jonathan's regime?
Buhari is barely in power for 6 months.

    5. @anon 16:26, i will shout it in case ur feignng ignorance. BEFORE THE 1966 IGBO TRIBAL COUP THERE WAS NEVER A COUP IN NIGERIA!!!!!! NEVER!!!!! THEY BROUGHT DT EVIL TO THIS COUNTRY!!!!!! After they killed all d leaders of this country in d middle of d night, they spared d president azkiwe & killed only other tribes. Dragged d northern premieres dead body all over d place & nzeogwu boasted abt this on tv. Hope u know d northern premier ahmadu bello was also d revered king of sokoto!!!

The igbos were much in d north & they jubilated in d markets about all this. They then placed aguiyi ironsi, an igbo man, as our 1st military president. WE KNOW OUR HISTORY. DONT REWRITE IT. It was after this traumatic incidence d northerners went on a killing spree! why didnt they kill other tribes? Hope u know they were killing igbos all over makurdi as well. So it wasnt just northerners dt killed igbos. Dts how much dt act dramatically brought a stench of hatred into this country. Just 6YEARS AFTER INDEPENDENCE!! Impatient and greedy set of people. Even if they were concerned abt northern dominance, how do u wake up & just kill everybody. Kill prime minister, kill northern premier, kill western premier, spare d eastern premier & spare d eastern president. Everyone should open teeth. But seriously u laugh at hausas faces cos u successfully killed their king, dt they call d only descendant of uthman dan fodio & u didnt expect a pogrom???? Really???

Incase you don't know, there are many Deltans, that are willing to join this senselessness.

Seriously, the government needs to create more jobs, because I'm sure that if these people had something doing, they won't be on the streets, constituting a nuisance.

Imagine Igbos fighting to be left alone, to form a country.
People that have no unity amongst themselves as a tribe.
    *smh*

If Biafra happens, it will be a country landlocked in the middle of a hostile Nigeria.
And then, 10 different countries will break off from it, because each state would want to be the FCT.
There will be discrimination, both socially, educationally and otherwise.

    It just will not work.

The only viable option, is for this Kalu guy, to take those willing, look for an unhabited island, and set up a country.

Incase they've not noticed, not every igbo is about that Biafra life.
    It's total bs.

    1. For me I think the government should curb this thing now

Have a dialogue with them and understand where they are coming from.. From my understanding igbos fled the north after gowon took over because they started killing them in masses. This caused them to declare independent from Nigeria and became biafra. This wasn't achieved with force or war until the gowon led regime started blocking food supplies and all. They Biafran still didn't fight. The regime started bombing Igbo Farmlands and cutting of food supplies that was when war broke out. And the military then didn't even kill the Biafran soldiers that they should have faced, rather started killing innocent civilians. The genocide was too much and the International organization started helping with food and treating the injured. After the war, igbos returned back to where they stayed but their houses, business has been taking over from them. Currency has been changed so they couldn't get back their money rather were giving stipends. No one was taking to court or punished for the genocide.

And since then they have been marginalized

Where would the FCT be? Ojukwu's hometown? Enugu? Oil rich Portharcourt or Warri? Since they want to include Delta State.
They should get their priorities right.

      Eastern state

      Rivers

When ojukwu declared biafra it wasn't for any of this state but only eastern state. It was when the war started and the military fighters were encroaching and capturing towns, that was when the Biafran led soldiers captures this other zone.. So it's not like you are needed

    1. Government should have a dialogue with them and know what going on. In fact I feel election should be carried out

Those in support of biafra should vote for it
And those that are not in support should vote against it

Every tribe should vote. At least it will give the yorubas who don't want the igbos in their land and opportunity to send them home and also the hausas..

If the elections turns out that biafra won, they should allow them go and find for themselves. Not all country have oil, so many country without oil are doing well for themselves. Nigeria with oil how far have they gone??

If they lost, then the talk about biafra should die with it. And Anyone who makes mention of it again should be sentenced because they have giving the igbos a fair chance at getting what they desire and they failed

You can't be saying the igbos should go and you when they try to go you start killing them. Pick one. Allow them or chase them out. It's that easy. They should go and find for themselves, kill themselves or whatever. If they succeed they rise, if they fail, they fail. Scotland left England, it hasn't stopped both countries from doing business or having each country have citizen in other country. Biafran can go, make their country try legit, when they want to come to Nigeria, they apply for visa like you apply when going abroad. They do business with Nigeria, pay import duty and everything.

This case is easy. The government is just making it hard

If the whites and black in the US can live together despite years of slavery, the call of Biafra is just folly.

  40. Thank you so much anon 16:38 these igbos think they can lie their way through the truth and history. They will never accept their faults and what they did to themselves when they started the war in Nigeria now they are crying wolf and playing the victim. They are just a very shameless tribe.

  42. Some of you who write here simply expose your deep ignorance. The military coup of January 1966 was not conducted by Igbo officers alone, there were Yoruba office amongst them, the same way that you have some Yoruba Commanders in the Biafran Army. Nzogwu, one of the ring leaders of the January 1966 coup, was from Asaba, Delta State, and was a Biafran. The counter coup of July 1966 was a purely northern coup that killed Ironsi along with 95 top ranking Igbo army officers. Neither Ojukwu nor Biafra started the war. It was Gowon who after signing the Aburi accord returned to Nigeria and relegated on the agreement reached with Ojukwu on a type of confederation arrangement. Subsequently, Gowon ordered a 'police action" and attacked Biafra in order to "keep Nigeria one" Biafra never attacked Nigeria first, Biafra was only defending itself against Nigeria invasion.

On the current issue of agitation for self determination by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), can any body in this blog cite any law of Nigeria that bars people from peaceful demonstration. Which part of our constitution or laws forbade the mention of the word Biafra. I feel sorry for some people who mock the Biafran agitation. Nnamdi Kanu was grated bail and the bail condition was fully met and the court ordered his release but DSS refused to honor the court order. Some people are here celebrating the unlawful detention of Nnamdi Kalu not knowing that they could fall victim to the same state lawlessness and terrorism. You come to this blog and mock and ridicule thousands of people who risk their lives knowing that they could be shot at any moment by the police or Army, to demonstrate for the release of an innocent man who has not committed any criminal offence and is still being detained and tortured by the DSS. You come to this blog and mock and ridicule thousands of people who are demonstrating against injustice and administrative corruption. You failed to appreciate the fact that similar demonstration is taking place in London, New York, Washington Japan, Holland, Taiwan, Spain, Israel, and in many other parts of the world
